Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the new Xiaomi 14 smartphone series soon. Although an official announcement is awaited, rumours suggest that the devices will be made official as soon as October 27 in China. Xiaomi is said to launch three smartphones in its 14 series including the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Xiaomi 14 series will succeed last year’s Xiaomi 13 series, which includes the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
Even as the official launch of the Xiaomi 14 series is awaited, we know plenty about the smartphones, thanks to a series of leaks. Previously, Xiaomi 14 Pro renders revealed the phone’s design and more. Now a poster along with specifications of Xiaomi 14 has been spotted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, giving us a good idea about what Xiaomi could have in store for us. We take a look at everything we know about Xiaomi 14 smartphone series so far:
Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro Expected Launch Date
The Xiaomi 14 series was previously expected to launch in November. However, a fresh report from ITHome claims the official announcement could take place on October 27 in China. The report attributes the information to Xiaomi’s offline store personnel and multiple bloggers in the country.

Of course, the information needs to be taken with a pinch of salt since Xiaomi has not confirmed any details yet, but looking at the smartphones getting certified across various platforms, it is safe to assume that the launch could happen very soon. According to reports, smartphones have already received various mandatory network access certifications, 3C certification, and radio approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Xiaomi 14 Could Feature Three Back Cameras
Xiaomi 14 poster reveals the back cover of the smartphone with a square camera module including three lenses. The camera lenses seem to be Leica-branded. As for specifications, the rear camera setup will include a 50MP OV50H primary lens, a secondary 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a third 50MP telephoto lens.
In comparison, previous leaks have hinted at a quad-camera setup for the Pro variant, where the primary sensor will be 50MP. The back camera will support a variable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0, similar to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. More features expected are a telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom and a dual LED flash.
Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro To Come With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Processor
Xiaomi could be among the first OEMs to launch its smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor when it is announced later this year. Qualcomm is all set to unveil the new processor at its annual Snapdragon Summit event, which is scheduled from October 24-25 in Hawaii.
The chipset is expected to offer a powerful performance as it has been rumoured to have done extremely well on benchmarking sites. For instance, it was recently said to have crossed the 2 million mark on AnTuTu and scored over 440,000 in the CPU test.
It is likely that Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro could be the first set of smartphones to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. On the Xiaomi 14, the processor will be coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4 storage.
Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro: Expected Specifications
As per the specifications list on the poster (via GizmoChina) Xiaomi 14, will feature a 6.44-inch C8 OLED display with a 1.5k resolution, 2,800 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. It is said to support HDR10+ and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro could have a slightly bigger 6.6-inch flat 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The display will also have a punch-hole cutout on the top centre to include the front camera.

Further, in terms of battery, the Xiaomi 14 is tipped to be backed by a 4,600mAh one with support for 90W wired charging. It is also said to support 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging as well.
More features of Xiaomi 14 include VC liquid cooling system that will help dissipate heat, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, dual-stereo speakers, and IR Blaster.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. In terms of design, expect a titanium frame design. Both smartphones are expected to run Android 14-based MIUI 15 out of the box.
