Xiaomi recently launched Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone, which is considered to be the last device in the Xiaomi 13 series. The device will go on sale in the global markets soon, and its European prices were tipped recently. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi 14 series smartphones by the end of 2023. The Xiaomi 14 series would include Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones. An Ultra smartphone will join the lineup in 2024. Digital Chat Station recently tipped the key specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone. Another tipster named Ice Universe shared the render of the upcoming device in a tweet. A new post on Weibo from Digital Chat Station reveals information about the display of the forthcoming 14 Pro smartphone.
Xiaomi 14 Pro Tipped Specifications
The latest post from DCS reveals that the 14 Pro devices will be offered in two variants. Xiaomi will launch the smartphone with a flat and curved display panel. The OEM will use 2.5D glass for the variant with a flat display. The panel with a right-angle shape will also sport a middle frame. In contrast, the variant with a 3D curved panel will have slim bezels all around the display.
The tipster also adds that the chin on the device will have a thickness of 1mm. Tipster Ice Universe revealed that Xiaomi will bring major changes to display with the Xiaomi 14 Pro device. His render reveals a curved panel with extremely slim bezels all around the display. The render also reveals that the display is a centred punch-hole to house the selfie camera. Xiaomi is aiming to offer a complete display experience with its upcoming smartphone.
Previously, Digital Chat Station revealed that Xiaomi will equip the device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset will continue using TSMC’s 4nm process and offer better performance over Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Recently, the upcoming chipset was listed in GeekBench 3.0, which scored 2723 points in single-core tests and 7525 points in multi-core tests. There are reports the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series smartphones would be the first to sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
The device will be backed by a large 5000 mAh battery which supports 50W wireless charging tech. Xiaomi will launch the smartphones in two variants with 90W and 120W wired fast charging support. The reports indicate that the flat display variant will feature support for 90W, and the curved display to sport 120W support. The device is expected to run on MIUI 15 on top of Android 14 out of the box. Xiaomi will use WLG High-Lens sensors to offer an upgrade in the optics department. Other specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphone are currently unknown.
