
Xiaomi launched the new Redmi Note 12 series in China. The company launched four new Note 12 series phones in China. These include the Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, Note 12 Pro+ 5G and the Note 12 Explorer Edition. The phones feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC and up to 200MP main camera sensor. Alongside its new Note series phones, Xiaomi also launched a new laptop called the Book Air 13.
The new Xiaomi notebook comes with two main configurations and features Intel’s 12th-generation CPUs. It also comes with a hinge that allows users to flip the screen to almost 360 degrees. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi Book Air 13 price, specifications and other details.
Xiaomi Book Air 13 Price and Specifications
Xiaomi has launched the Book Air 13 notebook in China in two configurations. The Book Air 13 comes with Core i5-1230U and Core i7-1250U CPU. The Core i5 variant is priced at CNY 4999 (roughly Rs 57,000), whereas the Core i7 variant is priced at CNY 5599 (roughly Rs 63,800).
The laptop has been launched in a single White colour option. It offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD.
The Book Air 13 features a 2-in-1 design. It has a 13.3-inch E4 OLED display with a 2880 x 1800 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen can get as bright as 600 nits. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and is surrounded by thin bezels. The screen also supports Dolby Vision.
Since it has a 360-degree hinge, the laptop can be used for multiple use cases. Its screen also supports touch. The laptop is fairly light at 1.2kg and is only 12mm thick.
For multimedia, there are dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It also comes with two microphones and a large glass touchpad. The keyboard is backlit and features a fingerprint scanner around the power button.
For video calls, the Book Air 13 has an 8MP webcam. The laptop’s Core i7-1250U CPU is also paired with Intel Iris Xe GPU. Both variants feature a vapour-cooling heat sink for heat dissipation.
Xiaomi has packed a 58.3WHr battery in the Book Air 13. The notebook supports 65W charging out of the box. Connectivity-wise, the laptop has two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack it supports WiFi-6E and Bluetooth 5.2 as well. As expected, the Book Air 13 runs Windows 11 out of the box.
There is no word on whether the Book Air 13 will launch in markets outside China. Xiaomi has launched its Mi Notebook series in India in the past.
