Xiaomi says that it has taken this step to assure its consumers about the quality of the brand. It says that in the past, a few cases were reported where the device fell off its quality standards. It seems that Xiaomi is talking about the motherboard or camera dead issue that some users had to face after updating their devices. It is one of the reasons that the warranty extension covers the issues related to the motherboard of both devices.
For the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max, the warranty will be applicable on the issues like System UI not responding and the Front camera not working. It is unclear whether the extended warranty will be applicable to other issues faced by the user.
Special Upgrade Option for Xiaomi 11 Ultra Users
Along with the warranty extension, Xiaomi has also announced an upgrade option for its first flagship device in India, the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. For consumers facing wifi connectivity issues on the Mi 11 Ultra, there will be a free upgrade to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Moreover, if they wish to get their hands on the latest flagship, Xiaomi 13 Pro, all they have to do is just pay Rs 30,000 extra.
