Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G in China last year. The device was introduced with Android 10-based MIUI 12 on board. The phone even got the Android 11 update in China back in January in the form of MIUI 12.5 beta. It received the stable Android 11 update a few days ago. This is the same smartphone that was introduced with different names in certain regions later on.
The device is dubbed as the Mi 10T Lite in Europe, whereas it was launched in India as the Mi 10i 5G. The European Mi 10T Lite even has received the taste of stable Android 11 last month. Now, in a recent development, the Mi 10i 5G stable Android 11 update rollout seems to be nearer in India, as Xiaomi has started testing the MIUI 12.5 under the pilot program. This does actually indicate that the official release of Android 11 for the Mi 10i 5G in India imminent soon.
Mi 10i 5G Stable Android 11 Update release is Imminent
The report by Piunikaweb mentions that the Android 11 update is now rolling out in India to select Mi 10i 5G users. The update is available for those users who had signed up for the MIUI Pilot testing program. The software update might not be available for all the Mi 10i users at the moment. However, now the device is being tested with Android 11 in India under the pilot program, it does indicate in one way that the official release of the stable Android 11 for the Mi 10i 5G is imminent. As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t officially provided a specific timeframe as such till when this new update will be officially out in India.
The Mi 10i 5G was launched by Xiaomi in India back in January. The device was introduced with Android 10 out of the box with MIUI 12 user interface. If we have a recap of the device’s specs in detail, it features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, 450 nits brightness, and offers HDR10+ support. Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s 8nm Snapdragon 750G SoC. The device comes in 6GB/8GB RAM options along with 64GB/128GB of internal storage.
The Mi 10i 5G sports a quad-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module includes a 108MP primary main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video-calling, the smartphone features a 16MP camera. The whole package is fueled by a 4820mAh battery that has 33W fast charging support.
