The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite was officially launched a while back, and now the company is aiming to release it in various other markets. This will help the company increase its global market share step by step. With the sale of devices that boast premium looks and impressive internals but don’t necessarily go hard on the buyer’s wallet, Xiaomi could benefit in this endeavor further.
That is where the Mi 8 Lite comes into play. To increase the rate at which it enters different markets, Xiaomi is planning to launch the Mi 8 Lite in Ukraine soon. This move is actually going to happen much sooner than you’d expect. In fact, it is happening tomorrow, and we’re here to discuss everything related to it.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Ukraine Launch Details
Xiaomi’s spokesperson, Donovan Sung, recently sent out a tweet that details the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite will be launching in Ukraine tomorrow, on October 17. The unveiling is going to be taking place in the capital city of Kiev, with the local time being 1900 hours, or 9:30 PM in India. However, it is a rather strange thing to launch the Mi 8 Lite in a market like Ukraine.
Xiaomi has a ton of smartphones under its belt that were launched this year, so we’re wondering what compelled the Chinese manufacturer to go for this particular one. If you think about it, the company did start selling the most affordable flagship this year, which is the POCO F1 (review), which is armed with a Snapdragon 845 and can be configured to feature up to 8GB RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage.

It could probably be that Xiaomi performed a detailed market analysis and found that customers enjoy a device that is both affordable and feels premium in touch. Undoubtedly, the POCO F1 is a durable smartphone but its polycarbonate finish might look inferior for a lot of buyers. The Mi 8 Lite exterior is more expensive-looking in comparison.
We are sure that the Chinese OEM will be introducing various smartphones for this market, and perhaps the Mi 8 Lite was just a test run. If successful, it will allow different handsets to find their way into Ukraine.
