Earlier this week, the Xiaomi Mi 9T had appeared on the Geekbench database, confirming that it is indeed going to be a rebranded version of the Redmi K20 launched in China last month. We have now come across the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro listing on Geekbench, revealing identical hardware to the Redmi K20 Pro. Xiaomi is set to unveil the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro smartphones globally on June 12.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Will be a Rebranded K20 Pro

The Xiaomi Mi 9T listing on Geekbench reveals the same “raphael” codename that the K20 Pro Geekbench listings had confirmed. Apart from the codename, the device is identical to the K20 Pro in terms of hardware as well. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor inside, paired with 8GB of RAM. Thanks to the powerful hardware, the smartphone scored 3,453 points in the single-core test and 10,363 points in the multi-core test. In terms of software, the Mi 9T Pro will be launched with the same Android 9.0 Pie-based MIUI 10 as the K20 Pro.

While some reports had suggested the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones will be sold as Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro only in Russia, Xiaomi recently confirmed that the two smartphones will be making their global debut on June 12. This could possibly mean that the K20 and K20 Pro will be sold in most international markets with Xiaomi branding. However, it remains to be seen if the smartphones will carry the Xiaomi branding in India as well. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain has already confirmed that the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro will be arriving in the country by mid-July.

The Redmi K20 Pro flagship smartphone is equipped with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display featuring Full HD+ resolution and a seventh-generation In-display fingerprint sensor. Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor, the smartphone packs up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. On the back of the phone is a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide snapper. It features a motorized 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Fueling the smartphone’s internals is a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
