Xiaomi Mi 9X Could Launch with Snapdragon 675 SoC, 48MP Sony IMX586 Sensor: Leaked Specs Indicate


A new leak has surfaced on Weibo, which reveals a smartphone that was never leaked or rumored before – the Xiaomi Mi 9X. According to the leak, Xiaomi will launch the Mi 9X in China in April with a starting price of CNY 1,699. More importantly, the leakster has posted all the specifications of this upcoming device. Mi 9X Leaked Specifications and Features

According to the leak, the Mi 9X will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a teardrop notch. The smartphone is said to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor along with 6GB of DDR4X RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The leak mentions that the device will run on Android 9 Pie OS along with MIUI 10 customization, and it is only obvious.

The leakster says that the smartphone will have a 48MP + 13MP + 8MP triple-camera at the back, and a 32MP camera at the front. According to the leak, the 48MP camera will be the Sony IMX586 sensor, whereas, the 13MP camera will be an ultrawide unit. The leak does not reveal the purpose of the 8MP sensor. In my opinion, it could either be a telephoto camera or a depth-sensor.

According to this leak, the device will pack a 3300mAh battery with support for 18W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. The leakster also reveals that the device will have an in-display fingerprint scanner, 2.5D holographic color scheme, a 7.5mm body thickness, and COF packaging technology.

Could Be A Successor to The Mi 6X

Recently, XDA-Developers discovered that Xiaomi is testing three new smartphones, and according to them, one of those smartphones could be the successor to the Mi 6X. The newly leaked Mi 9X could most probably be that successor. It makes more sense when you consider that the leaked specifications of the Mi 9X are similar to what the successor of the Mi 6X is expected to offer.
