Just a few days ago, Xiaomi announced that it will launch the Mi A3 smartphone in India on 21st August. And today, two days before the launch, the Mi A3 has been listed on Amazon India, revealing the variant-wise price of the smartphone.

As you can see in the screenshot attached, the Mi A3 will be available in India in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The former comes with a price tag of INR 14,999, while the latter costs INR 17,999. Both memory configurations will be available in three color variants – More Than White, Kind Of Grey, and Not Just Blue. That’s an unusual naming convention for sure.

Xiaomi Mi A3 listed on Amazon India

The product page, however, isn’t operational. Therefore, there is no information regarding the availability of the device. Anyway, we don’t know if Amazon (and Xiaomi) listed the Mi A3 intentionally, or if the line-up was put up mistakenly. Either way, you know the pricing of the Mi A3. And the specifications are already out. So, I think there is no suspense left for the launch event, except for the availability details, of course.

In my opinion, the Mi A3 is overpriced, and the device might not sell well in India. The Redmi Note 7 Pro offers a similar feature set and costs less. Furthermore, for the same price as Mi A3, you can get the Realme X, which offers better hardware.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi A3 sports a 6.01-inch Super AMOLED display with HD+ resolution, a U-shaped notch at the top, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, which is built on the 11nm fabrication process. This chipset features eight Kryo 260 cores and Adreno 610 GPU. The Snapdragon 665 sits between the Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 675 in terms of processing and graphics power. The smartphone has Android 9 Pie OS, and like every other A-series device from Xiaomi, the Mi A3 is an Android One certified device.

In terms of imaging, the Mi A3 has a triple-camera setup at the rear, consisting of a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The main camera here can record 4K videos. A front-facing camera is a 32MP unit straight out from the Redmi Y3.

The Mi A3 features the largest battery pack of any A-series device from Xiaomi – a 4030mAh unit. And there is 18W Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging as well. I hope Xiaomi ships the device bundled with a fast charger in India. Connectivity options include dual-SIM with dual-4G and dual-VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack.
