Xiaomi has announced it on Twitter that the brand has launched the Mi Smart Band 3i fitness tracker in the Indian market. The Mi Smart Band 3i comes as a trimmed down variant of the Mi Smart Band 3. The major difference between the two trackers is that the Mi Smart Band 3 comes with a heart-rate monitor, while the Mi Smart Band 3i doesn’t have one. The rest of the specifications of both the fitness trackers remains the same. Due to the lack of a heart-rate monitor, the Mi Band 3i is significantly cheaper than the Mi Band 3. Xiaomi has launched the Mi Smart Band 3i in the Indian market at a price tag of INR 1,299, making it one of the most affordable smart wearables in the country. The Mi Smart Band 3i is readily available to purchase from Mi online store. The device might soon be available on Flipkart and Amazon India. The brand hasn’t announced the offline the availability of the Mi Band 3i yet.

The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 3i, as the name suggests, is a smart wearable, meaning that is made to be used with your smartphone. You can use the Mi Smart Band 3i with Android as well as iOS devices. To connect and pair the device to your smartphone, you will have to use Mi Fit application that is available on Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
The Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 3i has a 0.78-inch monochrome AMOLED touchscreen with 128×80 pixels resolution. The screen can show you time, day, date, and other information in its idle state, depending upon the watch face you choose. Since the Mi Smart Band 3i will be connected to your smartphone, it can alert you of calls, messages, and other notifications that you get on your mobile. You can reject calls, view and reply to messages, and perform other such actions for the supported apps of your smartphone on the Mi Smart Band 3i.
Coming to the most import aspect of the Mi Band 3i, which is fitness tracking, the device has a 3-axis accelerometer to track activities such as walking, running, and cycling. The fitness tracker is also capable of monitoring your sleep quality. Unfortunately, there is no heart-rate monitor, as I said earlier, due to which, the fitness tracking on this device isn’t full-fledged.
According to Xiaomi, the Mi Smart Band 3i will offer 20 days of battery backup on a single charge. The fitness tracker has a Pogo Pin connector to charge itself. Xiaomi offers a Pogo Pin to USB Type-A cable in the box. However, you don’t get a charging adapter with the device. The Mi Smart Band 3i features Bluetooth v4.2, 5ATM water-resistance, anti-fingerprint coating, and a TPU band. Currently, the Mi Smart Band 3i is available only in Black.
