Xiaomi Mi CC10 Tipped To Sport Snapdragon 870 SoC, Will No Longer Be a Mid Range Lineup

Xiaomi launched the Mi CC9 series smartphones – including the Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, and Mi CC9e back in 2019. The Mi CC9 Pro was the first smartphone in the world to offer a 108MP camera setup. It has been almost two years, and the smartphone lineup is due a refresh. Now, a new leak claims that Xiaomi is working on the Mi CC10 smartphone, and it will sport a flagship-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. To recall, Mi CC9 series smartphone launched with mid-tier Snapdragon processors, so this will a big change in Xiaomi’s strategy for the CC lineup of devices.

A Weibo tipster Bald Panda revealed that the upcoming CC10 smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. Going by this claim, the Mi CC10 will not be a mid-range smartphone. This will be one of the biggest changes compared to the previous-gen Mi CC series smartphone. To recall, the Mi CC9 Pro, CC9, and CC9e offered Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, 710, and 665 SoC respectively.

Another report by ITHome reveals that the upcoming Mi CC10 smartphone will come with a 4,360mAh battery. Since this looks like a flagship smartphone, and will launch in China, we can safely assume it to support 67W fast-charging. Unfortunately, no other details such as specifications, or features of the upcoming Mi CC series smartphone are known at the moment. However, we can expect to learn more about the Mi CC10 in the coming weeks.

The Mi CC9 series devices were exclusive to China, but all three devices launched in Global markets with different names. The Mi CC9 Pro launched as Mi Note 10, Mi CC9 as Mi 9 Lite, and Mi CC9e launched as Mi A3 in global markets.
