Xiaomi has finally taken the wraps off its latest camera monster – the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro. The device has a whopping 108MP primary sensor which is one of its prime highlights. As if the company wasn’t satisfied enough with it, it has also launched a Premium Edition of the Mi CC9 Pro that has an 8P lens in front of the 108MP 1/1.33” sensor (the standard edition has a 7P lens instead). To make things even better, DxOMark has given the camera of the Mi CC9 Pro (Premium Edition) a staggering score of 121 which is equal to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition tops the DxOMark charts

It is worth noticing that though the CC9 Pro Premium Edition’s overall score is equal to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, it still falls a tad bit short when it comes to the stills (130 versus 132 for the Mate 30 Pro). In videos, on the other hand, it trumps the latter with a score of 102 (versus 100 for the Mate 30 Pro).

Clearly, the Mi CC9 Pro is going to be one of the best camera-centric smartphones that have got launched lately. Add to this the fact that it is kept at a pretty aggressive price as the base variant comes with a price tag of just Yuan 2799.

It’s surprising to see Xiaomi come up with a camera beast in such a short time as the original Mi CC9 lineup of smartphones was not launched too long ago.

Speaking of the cameras, the CC9 Pro comes equipped with a penta-rear camera setup (108MP primary, 1/1.33-inch sensor with 25mm-equivalent, f/1.69-aperture lens, OIS (27MP output resolution) + 12.19MP telephoto lens, 1/2.6-inch sensor with 50mm-equivalent, f/2-aperture lens + 7.99MP long telephoto lens, 1/3.6-inch sensor with 94mm-equivalent, f/2-aperture lens, OIS + 20.11MP, ultra-wide lens, 1/2.8-inch sensor with 16mm-equivalent, f/2.2-aperture lens + a macro f/2.4 lens). There are two dual-LED flashes – one with hard light and one with soft light.

Coming to the display, the CC9 Pro features a 6.47-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. There is a waterdrop notch at the top of the display which accommodates a 32MP selfie snapper.

Under the hood, the device comes powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset which is coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The Premium edition comes with 8GB/256GB memory configuration.
