Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi Mix 4 is launching in 2021. The Mi Mix series is Xiaomi’s premium offering aimed at providing maximum screen estate within the phone’s form factor. In an interactive session on Weibo, CEO Lei Jun confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is launching in 2021. The Mi Mix 4 will be a successor to the Mi Mix 3 that launched in 2018. The company will also launch Xiaomi-branded tablets in 2021. Jun did not reveal the details of the upcoming products. Xiaomi is bringing its Mi Mix series back to life with the launch of the Mi Mix 4. The company’s CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that the Mi Mix 4 will launch in 2021. Jun did not reveal much about the upcoming premium phone’s specifications, according to a 91Mobiles report. A Xiaomi foldable smartphone was spotted in the wild. Considering how the Mi Mix series has been all about cutting edge display tech, it could well be a foldable smartphone.
As per the leaked images, the Mi Foldable phone will have a similar design like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2. The foldable has been covered by a thick protective case to hide the design. However, the on-display content reveals that the device is running on MIUI 12. This confirms that Xiaomi is indeed working on a foldable phone like the Galaxy Z Fold2. The display has a thick crease in between, further revealing the folding mechanism.
The company also introduced a new concept featuring the world’s first Quad-Curved Waterfall Display. The smartphone is devoid of edges and the curved display extends to all four sides of the screen. The device has a port-free design and the display is curved around the device at an angle of 88°. The Mi Mix 4’s display could well be somewhat similar to the concept phone’s camera.
Coming back to Jun’s announcements, the Xiaomi CEO further revealed that the company will launch tablets in 2021. It remains to be seen what the Xiaomi tablet will offer once it has been launched.
