Xiaomi is expected to launch a new foldable smartphone later this year. The company launched the Mi Mix Fold as its first foldable smartphone last year in China. The Mix Fold was not launched outside China. It is possible that Xiaomi could unveil its foldable smartphone in other markets later this year. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2, as per the rumoured moniker, is expected to launch in June or July 2022. The company is likely to debut its new foldable smartphone alongside the Xiaomi 12 Ultra as it did with the Mix Fold last year.

Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 Specifications Leaked
Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2022. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the foldable phone have leaked. Tipster Digital Chat Station, on Weibo, revealed that the foldable smartphone from Xiaomi will debut with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus SoC. It is also claimed to feature a less-visible screen on the foldable screen, which will fold and unfold similar to the original Mix Fold.
The foldable display is said to feature an 8-inch panel. As expected, it will be an OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. Digital Chat Station also claims that the device will feature an LTPO panel and come with DC Dimming technology. The cover screen will be smaller at 6.5-inch and come with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. There is no word on the display resolution but we can expect a QHD+ resolution for the foldable screen, whereas the cover display will come with a Full HD+ resolution.
Under the hood, the phone will also come with a 5000 mAh battery. It would not be a surprise if Xiaomi offers support for 120W fast charging in the foldable device. It is also likely to feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 108MP main camera sensor. Based on the leaked specs, it seems like the Mix Fold 2 will be more of an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. However, we advise our readers to take the leaked specs with a pinch of salt.
