Xiaomi has unveiled its first foldable smartphone. The Mi Mix Fold comes with a cover display and a Galaxy Z Fold-like foldable display. The foldable display is 8.1-inch tall diagonally and comes with 2K resolution. The foldable display comes without any cutout. The front camera is instead placed inside the hole-punch on the 6.52-inch cover display. The outer display is 6.52-inch tall and has a 90Hz refresh rate. The foldable draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It packs a 5020 mAh battery under the hood. Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold price

The Mi Mix Fold price is set at CNY 9,999, which is roughly Rs 1,11,747. It comes in 12GB + 256GB storage configuration. There is also a 12GB + 512GB storage option priced at CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,22,900). There is also a Ceramic Edition with a Kevlar texture that comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This limited edition model is priced at CNY 12,999, which is roughly Rs 1,45,200.

The Mi Mix Fold comes with a cover display and an in-wards folding 8.1-inch WQHD+ screen with a 2480 x 1860 resolution. The foldable AMOLED screen does not have any hole-punch cutout for the front camera and offers an edge-to-edge viewing experience. It also comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.

On the outside, the 6.52-inch 90Hz cover display has a 2520 x 840 resolution. It has 700 nits brightness and Dolby Vision support. The top-right corner of the cover display has a hole-punch cutout for the front camera sensor.

For a better audio experience, the foldable smartphone comes with a quad-speaker setup by Harmon Kardon. To make use of the large screen, the foldable smartphone comes with a desktop/ PC Mode that can be triggered with a three-finger swipe. It also supports split-screen and picture-in-picture mode. There is also a one-click stealth feature that disables the speaker and microphones for better security.

Xiaomi claims that the Mi Mix Fold’s display can be folded a million times. There is a hinge-mechanism made up of a non-magnetic steel plate beneath the display.

Under the hood, the foldable phone packs a 5,020 mAh battery. It comes with 67W wired fast charging support. The device draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

On the back is a triple-camera setup. It has a 108MP f/1.8 primary sensor. The camera setup also comes with an 8MP F/2.77 tele-macro lens with a 30x zoom. There is also a 13MP ultrawide lens with a 123-degree field of view. The tele-macro lens uses liquid lens technology, where the light passes through a liquid in order to vary the focal length of the camera.

Xiaomi has developed a custom Surge C1 chip that is shouldered on the SoC. This custom ISP helps process faster auto focus, better white balance and higher dynamic range.
