The company has posted a new teaser image on Weibo which mentions that this will be the world’s first use of liquid lenses on any smartphone that will work like the human eye lenses, by adjusting the focal distance.

Xiaomi is confirmed to unveil more new handsets in the Mi 11 lineup on March 29 in China. The company has even confirmed that there will be a global event on March 29, where it will be announcing the Mi 11 Pro and the Mi 11 Ultra. Now, ahead of the official launch, Xiaomi has also confirmed today that the exceptional Mi Mix smartphone will also be unveiled at the same March 29 event. The confirmation by Xiaomi regarding this comes via a Weibo post, where the company has outed a teaser image with the text that reads as “MIX COMING BACK”.
Xiaomi Mi MIX Launch Confirmed on March 29
As of now, Xiaomi has still not confirmed the official name of this upcoming Mi Mix smartphone. However, we now have the official verification from Xiaomi that the next Mix will be making comeback on March 29th. It is believed that this upcoming smartphone by Xiaomi will be the Mi Mix 4, which might be the first foldable device from the company. Last year, Xiaomi had even demonstrated its first foldable smartphone through a video. A few days ago, we even had seen the possible Mi Mix 4 leaked images online, which did give us an idea that the phone will be much similar to that of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Additionally, rumours are rife that Xiaomi is preparing to launch three foldable devices this year. Details shared by Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) had mentioned that the next foldable phone to launch could be from Xiaomi. Apart from this, Young even had revealed that these upcoming Xiaomi foldable phones could offer design types like out-folding, in-folding, and clamshell.
Several days ago, we also had seen a Xiaomi smartphone with model number M2011J18C getting certified by TENAA and 3C. This device is assumed to be the company’s first foldable smartphone, which might offer 67.1W fast-charging support. Yesterday, the updated TENAA listing even had confirmed that the Xiaomi foldable phone could launch with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The TENAA certification even had a mention of a higher-end variant even which might ship with 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage.
The other specs of the upcoming Xiaomi foldable phone such as display size, and battery capacity details remain a mystery at the moment. However, several rumours suggest us that the phone will feature a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, and a 100MP+ primary camera.
