Xiaomi is prepping up to introduce the Mi Pad 5 tablet series in China on August 10th. The company has already confirmed through its official Weibo handle that the Mi Pad 5 will be introduced alongside the Mi Mix 4 in China on August 10th. Since the last few weeks, we have been learning new details of the Mi Pad 5 courtesy of some certifications. The Mi Pad 5 renders and specifications were leaked last month. The renders revealed the design of the tablet ahead of launch. Now, in a recent development, the Mi Pad 5 has appeared on Geekbench. The benchmark listing reveals the hardware specifications of the Mi Pad 5 ahead of tomorrow’s launch. Let’s check the details disclosed by the Geekbench ahead:

If we go by the details revealed by the Geekbench, we can see that the Mi Pad 5 carries the model number as M2105K81AC. As per the Geekbench listing, the Mi Pad 5 will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset which will be aided with Adreno 650 GPU. The Mi Pad 5 will pack 6GB of RAM and it run Android 11 out of the box. In the Geekbench test result, the tablet has managed to pull off 997 and 3181 points in the single-core and multi-core test results respectively. As far as the specifications of the Mi Pad 5 from the previous leaks are considered, the upcoming tablet is tipped to feature a 10.95-inch IPS LCD 120Hz display. For security purpose, the Mi Pad 5 is said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The optics department of the Mi Pad 5 might be handled by a dual-camera setup. The rear-facing camera module might consist of a 20MP primary and a 13MP secondary camera. The whole package might draw a power from a 8720mAh battery. The Mi Pad 5 is tipped to offer 65W fast charging support. The Mi Pad 5 with model number M2105K81AC had appeared on 3C certification last month. The 3C certification had revealed the 65W fast charging support for the Mi Pad 5. In a piece of related news, the Smart Pen which will be bundled with the tablet had got FCC certification. The FCC listing had revealed the schematics of the Smart Pen ahead of launch.

The renders confirm that the Mi Pad 5 will feature a dual-camera setup. Additionally from the image shared on Weibo, we can see that the Mi Pad 5 will be available in three colour options that include – Black, White and Green.
