Xiaomi has launched its latest eReader and the successor of the Mi Reader and the company is calling it the Mi Reader Pro. The newly launched eReader comes with a 7.8-inch flat e-Ink display with 24-level adjustable front-lit which can be customized as per users comfortability and lightning conditions. It also comes with features like support for voice search to locate keywords, searching and reading, and also faster typing speed. The Mi Reader Pro is launched in the home country China at a price point of CNY 1,099 (approx USD 167 and Rs 12,340). The device will be up for sale in black colour option and it is available via Mi Crowdfunding platform.

The Mi Reader Pro is launched with a 7.8-inch flat e-Ink screen with a resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels and a pixel density of 330PPI. On top of that 24-levels adjustable front-lit which allow users to customize the colour tone from cool to warm depending on your usage and lightning condition. It also comes with an anti-glare finish to enhance the overall reading experience of the users.

The eReader weighs around 251 grams which seems to be extremely lite and can be operated with one hand and offers a better grip with a thickness of 7mm. Under the hood, the Mi Reader Pro is powered by a quad-core processor with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 support. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo and backed by a 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is a lot for your ebook collection. Besides, it’s also equipped with an EPDC controller for smooth page turning and lower power consumption.

The Mi Reader Pro also supports Baidu cloud, WeChat Reading, one-click login, and a lot more. It is fuelled by a 3,200mAh battery with USB Type-C support and the company claims that it’s capable of offering a standby battery life of up to 70 days.
