
Xiaomi forayed into the smart TV segment in the country a couple of years back. In no time, the company managed to secure No. 1 spot in the smart TV segment. In these 2 years, Xiaomi has released more than 10 smart TV models, but all these models belong to the Mi TV 4 series. It looks like Xiaomi might be finally done with the TV 4 series in India. Xiaomi has now shared a teaser on social media channels with the hashtag ‘QualtumLeapsAhead’. This suggests that Xiaomi might finally bring Mi TV 5 Pro to India. The tweet read,

Mi TV 5 Pro: Specifications and Features
Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro features a striking design with a metal body with an integrated curved frame. The TV 5 Pro is just 5.9mm at its thinnest point and offers around 97% screen-to-body ratio. Mi TV 5 Pro offers a 4K Quantum Dot QLED display with a 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution and 178° viewing angle. The display on the Mi TV 5 Pro is HDR 10+ certified and supports MEMC (motion estimation and motion compensation). The TV 5 Pro is also 8K ready and offers up to 108% NTSC color gamut. The Mi TV 5 Pro packs 2 x 8w Stereo speakers and comes with DTS audio, Dolby Audio support.
Under-the-hood, the TV 5 Pro sports a quad-core Amlogic processor which is built on a 12nm. The Amlogic processor comes coupled with a Mali-G31 GPU. The Mi TV 5 Pro packs 4GB RAM, and 64GB onboard storage. On the connectivity side, it supports 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth, 3 x HDMI, 2 x USB, S/PDIF, Ethernet ports. It runs Xiaomi’s proprietary TV skin – PatchWall which is built on top of Android TV OS. The Chinese variant of Mi TV 5 Pro also supports Xiao AI – Xiaomi’s in-house voice assistant, but we can expect Indian variants to have Google Assistant support.
