Xiaomi is expected to launch a new foldable device sometime this year. The brand is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold 2 as a rival to the Galaxy Fold series. The first device in the series, the Mi Mix Fold as its first foldable smartphone last year in China. However, the device did not arrive outside of China officially.

Over the past few weeks, the rumoured successor, Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 specifications were leaked and revealed the upcoming foldable device could come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ SoC, a 120Hz screen refresh rate and more. Now, more details of the upcoming MIX Fold 2 have surfaced. Let’s take a look at the details.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 2: Specifications Leaked

A popular tipster on the Weibo platform, Digital Chat Station (via ITHome) has posted details of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2. According to the post, the MIX Fold 2 is said to feature a 50MP camera with Leica branding. The camera is also said to come with support for Dolby Vision HDR video shooting. The tipster also shared a schematic diagram of the Fold 2.

The forthcoming device could come with an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch outer/external display. The display on the inside is said to be a 2.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. We are also expecting the outer display to feature an AMOLED display. On the camera front, Xiaomi is expected to use its own chipset for image processing.

Apart from that, the previous reports suggest that the phone will come with a 5000 mAh battery. We are expecting Xiaomi to pack in 120W fast charging. Based on the leaked specs, it looks like the Mix Fold 2 will be more of an incremental upgrade over its predecessor. The foldable is said to make use of the Samsung display. It will use the company’s Ultra-thin Glass (UTG) technology, which is known to offer better durability and flexibility.
