Xiaomi, back in August last year, introduced the Xiaomi Pad 5 series in the Chinese market. The brand launched the Xiaomi Pad 5 and the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro under the lineup. The Xiaomi Pad 5 series tablets offer 11-inch 2K resolution display. Xiaomi will soon add a new tablet with a larger display under the Xiaomi Pad lineup. The brand, in a new post on Weibo, has confirmed that the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will make its debut on August 11 in the Chinese market.

As the name suggests the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will offer a 12.4-inch display panel and will be the largest Xiaomi tablet, in terms of screen size, launched to date. With a large display, Xiaomi might be planning to pit its upcoming tablet against the likes of the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Xiaomi, via the teaser, has also revealed the first look of the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4. Let us take a look at the details.

Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4: Design and Specifications

The upcoming Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will feature a 12.4-inch display panel. The official teaser reveals that the upcoming Xiaomi tablet will feature a camera module design similar to what we have seen on the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones. Also, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will be the first Xiaomi tablet to come with a triple rear camera setup. Similar, to the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, the upcoming Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will offer a 50MP primary shooter.

Recently, we spotted an upcoming Xiaomi tablet with model number 22081281AC on the Geekbench database. A famous Xiaomi tipster, Kacper Skrzyper has revealed that the model number corresponds to the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4. Thus, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, similar to the 11-inch variant which launched last year in China.

Kacper also claims that the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 will not make it to global markets. This should not come as a surprise considering the brand hasn’t yet launched last year’s Xiaomi Pro 5 Pro in the global markets.
