Xiaomi Redmi 12C launched in Indonesia quietly after being teased officially a couple of days ago. The brand has listed the smartphone silently on the official website in Indonesia with a starting price of IDR 1,399,000 (~Rs 7,500). This marks the global debut of the device, as it’s already available in China since December 2022. Now that the handset has been launched globally, we can expect it to hit Indian shores pretty soon. Redmi 12C: Price, Availability

The Redmi 12C has been launched in three variants in India, viz. 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 4GB + 128GB. It is available in Graphite Gray or Ocean Blue color options. The handset will go on sale in Indonesia starting March 10th across multiple channels. Below are the pricing of the Redmi 12C.

Redmi 12C: Specifications

The Redmi 12C is a budget smartphone with the price tag being its USP. However, it does come with a decent spec sheet for an affordable handset. The Redmi 12C’s window to the world is a 6.71-inch Dot Drop display, a waterdrop notch display. The panel offers HD+ (1,650 x 720 pixels) screen resolution, 20.6:9 aspect ratio, 500nits brightness, 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and reading mode.

Powering the handset is a 12nm, octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor. The chipset is backed by either 3GB or 4GB RAM along with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage. The smartphone uses LPDDR4X and eMMC 5.1 standards for RAM and storage. Moreover, it supports microSD cards up to 1TB.

In the camera department, the Redmi 12C flaunts a 50MP primary camera sensor on the back. A secondary QVGA lens accompanies the primary lens for depth information. On the front, the device is fitted with a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling. These cameras are capable of video recording up to 1080p at 30fps.
