Redmi Buds 4 Active: Pricing, Availability, and Specifications
Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the pricing for the global markets for Buds 4 Active. The company is expected to reveal the price and availability of the device in the upcoming weeks. Xiaomi has launched the device only in a black colour option.
Previously, a report by 91Mobiles revealed that Xiaomi would launch the product in India in the upcoming months. The device is expected to be the successor to the outgoing Redmi Buds 3 Lite, priced at Rs 1,599.
The Redmi Buds 4 Active features a 12mm dynamic driver, offering a significant improvement in quality compared to its predecessor. The TWS uses Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and the company claims it offers its users a powerful bass experience. The official listing reveals that the device has a certified connectivity range of 10m.
Xiaomi has revealed that it uses SBC codec with the device in its listing. However, Xiaomi has reduced the number of ANC modes it supports with the Buds 4 Active. Unlike the Redmi Buds 4, which comes with noise cancellation, normal and transparent modes, the Active only supports noise cancellation and normal modes.
The Buds 4 Active features an improved IPX4 water resistance. Xiaomi has packed a 34 mAh battery within each bud and a 440 mAh battery in the charging case. The Buds 4 Active offers a battery backup of 28 hours with the charging case. Xiaomi claims that each of these buds offers playback time of 5 hours.
The device uses a USB type C port to charge, and the company claims that a 10-minute of charging will offer a battery backup of 2 hours. Each of these buds weighs 3.65 grams, the charging case at 34.7 grams, and has a total weight of 42 grams.
Xiaomi has included support for Google Fast Pair, making connectivity easier. The Buds 4 Active also features support for touch controls, including music control, accepting or rejecting calls, and more. These features can be accessed through single tap, double tap, or triple tap. The device also supports low latency mode, which can be accessed through taps.
