Xiaomi Redmi Go With 3,000mAh Battery, Quad-Core Snapdragon Chipset, and More

Coming to the specs of the Redmi Go, the phone features a 5-inch HD display with 720p resolution. The design of the phone is entirely conventional, which means that it will have a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has capacitive buttons at the bottom while the top of the phone houses the earpiece, selfie camera, and proximity sensor. A 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor powers the smartphone. Although Xiaomi has not revealed the chipset model, some of the previous leaks suggested that it has Snapdragon 427 chipset under the hood. We can expect the phone to pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that should be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The software side of things are handled by Android Oreo (Go Edition). This means that the Redmi Go will come pre-loaded with a host of Lite apps like Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go, and more. All these apps are compatible with entry-level hardware on phones like the Redmi Go.

As for the optics, Xiaomi has confirmed in the tweet that the phone sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front.
