Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi had unveiled its current flagship smartphone called the Redmi K30 Pro in China a while back. At the time, it was only 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Now Redmi has announced a new variant for the device which has 12GB RAM and 128GB storage. At present, the device is on sale for CNY 2,999 which is about Rs 32,000. After the sale period ends, the variant will be priced the same as the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant which is CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs 39,000).
Redmi K30 Pro: Specifications
The Redmi K30 Pro happens to have a 6.37-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a bezel-less display thanks to the pop-up selfie shooter. Apart from this, the phone has a 180Hz touch sampling rate along with 1200 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the K30 Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. As mentioned above the phone can be purchased in multiple RAM and storage options. Currently, it has up to 12GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM along with up to 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage. There is no option to expand the storage using a microSD card slot.
As far as optics go, the Redmi K30 Pro packs in a quad-camera system on the back which consists of a 64MP primary sensor. It is supported by a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor along with a 5MP telephoto macro camera. The selfie shooter housed in the pop-up camera has a 20MP sensor packed inside it. If you purchase the Super Zoom edition of the K30 Pro, you will get an 8MP telephoto lens with 30X zoom capabilities.
On the connectivity front, the handset supports Wi-Fi 6, 5G Bluetooth and USB Type-C. The device weighs around 219g and is relatively thin at 9mm. Powering the whole setup happens to be a 4,700mAh battery with 33W charging capabilities.
