[Exclusive] Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S to Get a New 8+128GB Variant in India

Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 11T 5G in India. The device comes with a bunch of upgrades over the Redmi Note 10T 5G, which was launched earlier this year. Xiaomi is expected to launch more devices under the Note 11 series. However, it seems like the launch is a few weeks away. We say so because the company is gearing up to launch a new variant of the Redmi Note 10S. The budget smartphone was launched earlier this year in India in two storage configurations. Our industry sources tell us that Xiaomi will launch a new storage configuration of the Redmi Note 10S in India with 8GB of RAM.

There is no official word from Xiaomi or Redmi regarding the launch. However, our sources tell us that the device will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is no word on the pricing but we can expect the phone to be available for Rs 17,999 or Rs 18,499 in India. It will sit above the two 6GB RAM options, which are priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,499. Both these variants offer 64GB and 128GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S specifications and features

The Redmi Note 10S features a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. The screen has a tiny hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. It also comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device draws power from a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC. It packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging support via a USB Type-C port. The phone is currently available with up to 6GB of RAM. The 8GB RAM variant is expected to launch soon.

On the back, there is a quad-camera setup. The phone has a 64MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. Completing the quad-camera module are two 2MP sensors for depth and macro photography. The device has a 13MP front camera sensor. It comes with MIUI 12 out of the box on top of Android 11.
