Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro India Launch Event Invitation Leak Reveals Date to be Before November 20

Xiaomi has recently listed the Redmi Note 6 Pro on its official Spanish website and has been gearing up to launch the smartphone in India soon. Now, it looks like the device will arrive in India earlier than we expected. A leaked press-invitation reveals that the device will be launched in India before November 20. The press-invitation also confirms that the flagship Redmi smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup.

Redmi Note 6 Pro Expected Price in India

Xiaomi is expected to offer the Redmi Note 6 Pro in two different storage variants: one with 4GB and 64GB onboard storage and the other with the same internal storage along with 6GB RAM. The base variant of the handset is expected to be priced in India somewhere around INR 14,999, while the variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage will cost around INR 16,999. The smartphone will be available in three different colors: Black, Blue, and Rose Gold.

The immediate successor to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a notched display and continues to offer several similar features as its predecessor. The smartphone sports a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution of 2280×1080 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 19:9. In comparison, the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a relatively smaller 5.99-inch display.


With the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Xiaomi is not offering any major upgrades as far as the design aspect is concerned. Just like its predecessor, the Redmi Note 6 Pro sports an aluminum unibody sandwiched between a plastic shell. The smartphone retains the fingerprint sensor and the 3.5mm headphone jack. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM.

In the imaging department, the Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a 12MP primary camera, paired with a 5MP depth-sensing unit at the rear. The primary camera has an f/1.9 lens while the lens on the secondary camera boasts of f/2.2 aperture. The camera set up at the back is accompanied by a dual-LED flash to handle low-light shots. At the front, there is a 20MP snapper paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The additional depth-sensing unit on the front is an upgrade from last year’s model.

The device draws juice from a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support. On the software front, the device will ship with Android Oreo 8.1 based MIUI 10. The connectivity options that you get with the Redmi Note 6 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0 with LE, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO. In terms of dimensions, the device measures 157.9 x 76.4 x 8.2 mm and weighs in at 182 grams.

Apart from India, Xiaomi is planning to announce the Redmi Note 6 Pro in several other markets. The smartphone is currently available in Thailand and is soon to go on sale in Spain.
