New Mi TV camera

Xiaomi could launch a new Mi TV camera accessory very soon. The company has dropped a video teaser, revealing the device’s design.

The Xiaomi camera for TV has a cuboidal shape housing the camera sensor and microphones. The device is likely to have two microphones on either side of the camera sensor. Next to the camera sensor is a big block with the Xiaomi branding. We suppose this could be a physical camera shutter to cover the lens when not in use.

Xiaomi has not released any further details of the device. It could come with a USB Type-A or a Type-C connector to connect the camera to the TV. Details about the sensor are also unknown at the moment. It could be used as a web camera to attend video calls. The exact launch date of the device remains unknown. Xiaomi could launch it alongside the Mi 11 Lite at the event on June 22.

OnePlus is also rumoured to launch a new Plug-n-Play TV camera at the event on June 10. It has an almost similar design and is rumoured to launch for Rs 5,000.
