
At the MWC 2023, Xiaomi unveiled its Xiaomi 13 series smartphones and MIUI 14 for the global markets. Apart from this, the Chinese technology company has revealed some other products, including the Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro and Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. Xiaomi has gained popularity in the smartwatch segment since its unveiled Watch S1 and its Xiaomi 12 series.
The addition of the Watch S1 Pro will increase the brand’s share in the wearables segment of the market. Xiaomi brings the new Buds 4 Pro as a successor to the Xiaomi Buds 3T Pro. The brand is trying to create an ecosystem of its products globally.
Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro: Price and Specifications
The company has already started selling the product in the UK for 299 Pounds (approx. Rs 30,000). It is available in two variants, i.e., one with a black stainless steel case & fluoro rubber strap and a silver stainless steel case & brown leather strap. Xiaomi has used a universal pin for the watch’s straps, making trying out all compatible straps easier. Xiaomi equips the S1 Pro with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with slim bezels.
The display has a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels, a peak brightness of 600 nits, and gets protection from sapphire glass. Xiaomi has included a rotating crown along with a shortcut button for navigating. The watch has a 500 mAh battery which the brand claims will last over 14 days. A full charge over wired charging takes less than 85 minutes and supports reverse wireless charging.
The watch has support for tracking over 100 sports and activities. The watch can also track heart rate, oxygen levels, stress, and sleep. Xiaomi has equipped the watch with MIUI Watch OS, which also has Alexa integration for attending calls. The brand claims that it has a ceramic-like coating on the inside. The watch also has 5ATM water resistance, NFC support, a built-in speaker, 3D distance monitoring, and dual-band GPS.
Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro: Price and Specifications
Like the Watch S1 Pro, the product also lives in the UK and retails for 249 Pounds (approx. Rs 24,700). The Buds 4 Pro is available in Star Gold and Space Black color options. Xiaomi equips the Buds with Sony’s LDAC technology to achieve data transfer rates of up to 990kbps and bit depths of up to 32-bit.
The Buds also get Hi-Res Audio Wireless support and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) up to 48 dB. The Buds uses 11mm dual-magnetic dynamic drivers for hi-fi audio. It also has a dimensional audio feature that detects user head movements and adjusts the sound. The feature is similar to spatial audio, ensuring that the user gets to experience each audio detail precisely in realistic sound.
Xiaomi uses a space capsule style for the case to keep the buds secure. It also uses soft LSR-made ear tips, which offers the users a better bit. Xiaomi also bundles an Intelligent Fit Monitoring feature to allow users to find the perfect fit. The feature will help to find a fit with maximum comfort for prolonged listening. It also equips dual-device connectivity features and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.
The buds also support BLE, HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP and have a connectivity range of 10m. Xiaomi has packed a 585 mAh battery which can be charged using a type C port and wireless charging. The brand claims it has a battery life of up to 9 hours and 38 hours with a charging case. The buds also have IP54 dush and water resistance to protect them from daily usage. It supports SBC, AAC, and LHDC 4.0 codecs and features a 3Mic+ bone voiceprint sensor.
Xiaomi equips the buds with three transparency modes to help the users listen to ambient sounds. The earbuds also support pressure-sensitive operation, switching between noise reduction modes, controlling music, and accepting or rejecting an incoming call.
