ZTE has launched its new flagship smartphone series. The company has launched the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and the Axon 40 Pro in China. The two flagship devices feature top-tier smartphone hardware. The Axon 40 Ultra also features an under-screen front camera.
Both phones come with a Snapdragon 800-series chipset. The Axon 40 Ultra has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The 40 Pro, on the other hand, features a Snapdragon 870 SoC. Let’s take a look at the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro specifications, features, price and other details.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, Axon 40 Pro price
The ZTE Axon 40 series currently includes a Pro and an Ultra model. The Axon 40 Pro arrives in three storage options, with the base model having 8GB of RAM. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at CNY 2998 (roughly Rs 34,600), whereas the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 3298 (roughly Rs 38,000). There is also a 12GB + 512GB storage option, which is priced at CNY 3798 (roughly 43,700). The phone arrives in three colours – Magic Night Black, Crystal Fog Blue, and Star Orange.
The Axon 40 Ultra comes in four storage options. The base model has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 4998 (roughly Rs 57.600). The 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB storage variants are priced at CNY 5298 (roughly Rs 61,000) and CNY 5798 (roughly Rs 66,800). There is also a 16GB + 1TB storage option, which is priced at CNY 7298 (roughly Rs 84,000). The phone arrives in Silver and Black colour options.
Axon 40 Ultra Specifications
The top-tier 40 Ultra features a 6.81-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is curved and does not have any hole-punch or notch cutout. The phone draws power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging out of the box.
On the back, there is a triple-camera setup. The phone has a 64MP Sony IMX787 main camera and a 64MP ultrawide camera. There is also a 64MP telephoto camera with OIS support. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP front camera under the display. The phone runs Android 12-based MiFavor UI out of the box.
Axon 40 Pro Specifications
The Axon 40 Pro features a Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate support. There is a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera.
The phone has a quad-camera setup on the back. It has a 108MP main camera along with an 8MP ultrawide camera. The phone also features two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera inside the hole-punch cutout. The 40 Pro packs a 5000 mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
