ZTE has started teasing the key specifications of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Axon 40 Ultra. The upcoming flagship will launch as a successor to the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra, which was launched last year. The flagship Android smartphone is expected to launch in select global markets. Ahead of the official launch, the company has teased some of the key specs and features of the phone.

The Axon 30 Ultra will come with the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship platform. The device will also feature an improved under-screen front camera. Let’s take a look at the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra specifications, features and other details known so far.

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Specifications 

ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will launch in China on May 9. Ahead of the official launch, the company has teased some key specs and features of the phone. The Axon 40 Ultra will launch with an under-screen front camera. It is said to feature a 16MP front camera sensor.


The screen is curved and has minimal bezels at the top and bottom edge. ZTE will launch the flagship phone with a 6.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. The 10-bit screen will support a 360Hz touch sampling rate.

On the back, the phone has a rectangular camera module that houses a triple-camera setup. The phone will have three 64MP sensors. The main camera will feature a Sony IMX787 sensor along with a 64MP ultrawide camera sensor by OmniVision. There will be another 64MP sensor for telephoto shots. 

As mentioned above, there will be a top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. The phone will also pack a 5000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging out of the box.
