Introduction and Display
The Apple iPhone XR is a lower-powered smartphone that comes with a single sensor at the back, and a smaller screen. The device has IP67 certification ratings which make the iPhone XR water-resistant and dust-proof. The screen on the device hosts a notch which has been popular since the days of iPhone X. Also, there is the face unlock feature. In terms of display, the iPhone XR boasts a 6.1-inch IPS LCD Super Retina display which comes with features like True Tone which is a six-channel light sensor that subtly adjusts the white balance onscreen to match the colour temperature of the light around you.
Performance and Storage
With the proprietary hexa-core A12 Bionic chipset and 3GB of RAM, you can expect smooths ailing every time. While you work on multiple apps simultaneously or play games, the device is expected to ensure a lag-free experience. On the storage front, the Apple iPhone XR ships with 64GB of internal storage space which is fixed and cannot be expanded any further.
Camera and Battery
Even though there is no dual rear camera setup, the Apple iPhone XR captures impressive shots and videos using the 12-megapixel primary sensor. The primary sensor has a quad-LED dual-tone flash along with portrait mode, Smart HDR and other features to deliver crisp and life-like images. You can also shoot 4K videos at 60fps. On the front, sits a 7-megapixel front-facing camera which can be used for selfies and video calling. The battery on the Apple iPhone XR is touted to last longer than most devices. The battery also has fast charging support that can refuel 50% power in 30 minutes. Also, users get wireless charging on the iPhone XR.
Connectivity and Platform
The Apple iPhone XR is the only other smartphone apart from the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max to have dual SIM support along with other connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and a USB 2.0 reversible connector. The smartphone runs the iOS 12 operating system out of the box.
