The smartphone is available in three color variants- Black, Blue and White. As for the dimensions, the device measures 161. x 76.2 x 8.9mm in dimensions. The device packs a 6.53-inches IPS LCD panel that offers a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a pixel density of 395ppi. The bezel-less display has a punch-hole cutout aligned at the top left corner of the device that houses the selfie camera. The display comes with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen to body ratio of 85.03 percent.

The device houses a quad-camera setup on the rear housed inside a rectangular shaped camera module for photography and videography. The camera configuration includes a 48MP primary sensor, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 3MP macro camera and a 0.3MP camera. At the front, the handset comes with a 25MP selfie snapper. The device boasts of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure biometric authentication.

The handset packs 128GB internal memory to address the storage needs of the users. In case the internal storage does not suffice, the users can leverage the expandable memory option of up to 256GB through a microSD card. Performance-wise, the smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 Octa-core processor that comes paired with 4GB RAM. For graphical performance, the handset is provided with a Mali-G72MP3 GPU.

The CoolPad Cool S draws its power from the large 5000mAh battery that takes its charge through the USB Type-C port. In terms of connectivity options, the dual SIM handset supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS with A-GPS, mass storage device, USB charging, microUSB 2.0 and a 3.5mm audio jack.
