Honor Play 5 flaunts a 6.53-inch OLED Full HD+ display that offers screen resolution at 1080x2400 pixels with a pixel density of 403 PPI. The display comes with waterdrop notch at the top-centre that houses the front camera. With this design, the 19:9 aspect ratio display offers larger viewing area and screen to body ratio upwards of 80 percent. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. The main security features include the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock through the selfie camera.
Performance, Storage, Quad Camera
Honor has powered the Play 5 device using the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which brings 5G support to the device. This gets paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB using the dedicated card slot. The phone runs on custom version built over Android 11 operating system. For imaging purpose, Honor Play 5 has a quad rear camera that consists of 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the phone gets a 16MP selfie camera that supports video recording as well as video calls.
Battery, Fast Charging, Connectivity
Honor Play 5 packs a 3800 battery that supports 66W fast charging via USB Type C port. For connectivity, the phone has features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G, 4G VoLTE, USB OTG, and GPS with GLONASS.
