Design, Display, and Security
The Honor X40i offers an interesting design language. The handset features a punch-hole cutout at the front panel, while the rear panel features a glossy finish with a camera module. The phone is loaded with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display and offers a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The device comes with an IPS LCD display panel and offers a pixel density of 393ppi. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature for security.
Performance, Camera, and UI
The latest handset from Honor is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset. The 6nm SoC comes with Cortex A78 and Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 2GHz respectively. The device also comes with a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU to handle the graphics. The Honor mobile phone packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, you get a triple-camera setup on the rear panel with a combination of a 50MP primary sensor, 2MP macro shooter, and 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device packs a 16MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. The Honor X40i ships with the Android v12 operating system.
Battery and Connectivity
For connectivity, the phone comes with support for 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, GPS with GLONASS, an Infrared port, and a USB Type-C port. The company has also added a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.
