Motorola Moto X Play 32 GB Details

Introduction
When launched the Moto X Play was one the most popular mobile device for its value for money factor and also because it has a water-repellent coating and a 21-megapixel camera. The Moto X Play comes with a solid built plastic body with a carbon fibre like textured back panel for increased grip and better looks. The thick bezels and the overall thickness of the device make it a bit uncomfortable to hold in hand.
20MP Primary Camera
The Moto X Play is equipped with a large 21-megapixel primary camera. The camera has phase detection autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. The f/2.0 aperture makes the picture quality even better as it allows more light to enter the camera sensor. Even though the camera has a high-resolution sensor, it does not impress much on the image quality. A secondary camera is a 5-megapixel unit with /2.2 aperture.
Hardware
The Moto X Play comes with a powerful Snapdragon 615 chipset and 2GB of RAM for seamless performance. Although, the device lags a bit while switching applications and during heavy tasks, it does not feel as fast and as fluid as it should be. The internal memory of the device is 32GB, and it is expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. A 16GB variant is also on sale for a lesser price.
Display & OS
One of the most important aspects of any mobile device is its display, and the Moto X Play does not disappoint here as it comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD having a Full-HD resolution. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. The operating system on the device Android 5.1 Lollipop but it can be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow via the OTA. The Moto devices are known to receive one of the fastest software updates; it is also known for providing bloat-free software.
Large 3,630 mAh Battery
One of the strongest selling points of the Moto X Play is its large 3,630 mAh battery. Users in India thrive for a device with large battery capacity, and Moto has tapped the right vein by providing the large battery.?

Why it does not have auto call recording and vibration in the incoming call?
It does not have an auto call recording, but you can install external apps which provide this service. Auto call recording is not an important feature as it removes the privacy factor, so many of the top mobile companies do not provide the option. About the vibration, in the incoming call, Moto X Play has this feature, and it is perfect, the vibration can be recognized from long distances.

It's better to not have vibration on incoming call because it will affect your battery and you will not be able to use your mobile for a day with a single charge. As it is core Android,we don't have auto call recording. You can use an app from Google Play Store for it.

It has, just go to settings and you will find the vibration feature there, and talking about the audio call recording you can download it from Google Play Store . You are just a click away and it does not consume much space. Just go for it.

It has a vibration mode, you need to check the settings. Autocall recording isn't available, but you can use it by installing external apps that are available in the play store.

Auto recording option is not available in Moto X Play, you must seperately install the app. Vibration option is present in Moto X Play, when there is a incoming call.

Is it upgradeable to Android 7.0 Nougat OS?
Yes. When I purchased the mobile, it has Lollipop version. But later came the Marshmallow upgrade. Initially, there was no VoLTE, but later there was a VoLTE upgrade. Just before two months, Android Nougat 7.0 upgrade was available, and currently, it is running on Nougat.

Yes, of course. I am using Moto X Play for one and a half year. And two months ago, I updated my Android Marshmallow to Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Yes this is official upgrade that has come from the company for Moto X play. After the upgrade, the battery consumption is too much.

Yes, I updated with root access. Officially there is no update available. Just unlock your bootloader and install a custom ROM

Why it does not have data switch on option in quick setting?
As you see the Moto X Play runs on near stock Android ROM which means it's the original and pure Android. The data switch on option is not a part of it. The other mobiles which have it runs on customized version of Android. But this feature has now been introduced in the new android OS. So, if Moto X Play gets that update version then you can have the on switch.

Yes, we have that option. P.S. My Xplay went dead 2 months ago. I gave it in the Motorola service center. After few days, they requested me to collect my phone back as it has some motherboard and display issues and hence cannot be repaired.

If you want that data switch on in quick settings, then you must go to settings, then scroll down, there you will be able to see "system UI tuner" in that you will have the option to set that one.
By karthisadar95, 22 months ago

No, it has a data switch in the latest Android version of Nougat. It's not a big problem. Many apps provide shortcuts for the data switch.

The mini drop down from the top will give you a quick setting. With one click you can turn on/off data.

Excellent phone but...
By drshinuks, 34 months ago
I got the phone two days back and it's awesome by all means. But there is no provision for grouping of contacts and hence unable to send group messages. Needed to download go SMS application for that purpose. Expecting a corrective measure or a solution at the earliest..
