Nokia 8 (2018)

The Finnish smartphone vendor has introduced another variant of its flagship device, the Nokia 8. The latest offering is the Nokia 8 (2018) which stands out among the rest as the device features a bezel-less display. Also, the fingerprint sensor has made its way from the front to the back, below the rear camera module. The device now bears a refreshed look, and the curved edges on all the sides make it easy to hold. The Nokia 8 (2018) is IP67 certified which makes it dust-proof and water-resistant which is a step up from the original Nokia 8 which featured IP54 certification. 

The Nokia 8 (2018) ships with an improved set of imaging sensors as compared to its predecessor. The smartphone is equipped with a dual-rear camera set up. Another exciting feature of the device is that one can use both the rear and front camera simultaneously via the Dual-Sight mode. The smartphone comes with a dual 16+8-megapixel primary shooter which is paired with a dual-LED flash to handle low-light imaging. The rear camera also comes with Phase detection autofocus, OIS, etc. that adds stability and promises better low-light shots. At the front, the Nokia 8 (2018) comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera which can be used for selfies and video calling via apps like Messenger, Skype, etc. One also has the option to record 4K videos with the Nokia 8 (2018). 
The Nokia 8 (2018) flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD display which looks bigger thanks to the bezel-less screen. The screen is paired with excellent viewing angles that make watching videos and playing games more enjoyable. Also, the screen is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5 protection that prevents the device from attracting any scratches. 

For connectivity, the smartphone is bundled with multiple options which include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. The Nokia 8 (2018) also allows users to use two SIM cards at the same time. 
The smartphone is designed to deliver smooth and seamless performance even under the most demanding conditions thanks to the presence of an octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset which is coupled with 4GB of RAM. Also, there is Adreno 540 GPU to handle graphics for games. 

The Nokia 8 (2018) runs the Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system out of the box, and the handset makes its mark with an internal storage capacity of 64GB which can be used to install apps and personal files. There is an option for further expansion via a microSD card up to 256GB. However, the Nokia 8 (2018) does not ship with a dedicated microSD card slot, and one has to rely on the Hybrid SIM slot for boosting the storage. 
It packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3,400mAh battery which can easily last for 24 hours with moderate to heavy usage. If that does not sound convincing, there is support for fast battery charging via Quick Charge 3.0.
