An affordable phone you can live without
By sabarinathan.c, 92 months ago
First of all, I bought this phone 2 months back and after rigorous use I am posting a review to help people know about this device's pros and cons. Pros 1) Lumia 630 feels very nice in hand. The matte back with a 4.5 inch display makes it easy to hold and the feel is quite good. Being made out of plastic, it still gives an elegant look which is appreciable. It is slim, light and colourful. 2) The viewing angles are quite good. Being a low resolution smartphone it still delivers what you want. 854 by 480 pixels is not bad actually. 3) The best thing about this phone which makes you spend 9k on this device is the windows 8.1. You can customise the screen as you want. There is the new action centre, word flow- the fastest keyboard till now and hell lot of features. 4) The camera is quite good being only a 5MP one. It captures clear and crisp pictures which are quite lovable. The battery life lasts for a day or two which is commendable according to me. Plus the call quality is just brilliant. 5) The performance is overall smooth. The RAM being just 512 MB manages everything well due to optimisations made in windows 8.1. The device doesn't lag at all and it can serve all the basic purpose you need from it. 6) It has expandable storage. Cons 1) Some apps require at least 1GB RAM and hence you will not be able to install them. 2) The windows apps are good but as compared to android or the ios it's still far behind. 3) If you play heavy games like Asphalt 8, Mass Effect 3 etc. then it might turn a nightmare for you.(Heavy games lag) 4) There is no led flash and secondary camera. If you are a selfie fan then it's not for you. 5)There is no auto brightness setting. 6)Other competitors like Motorola selling Moto G are still better than it. Overall- You should go for this phone if you are fed up of Android and want to taste the windows 8.1 experience. It can provide the basic necessities you want but not the crisp or unlagged gameplay. Its value for money and I recommend it. Under 10k it's a good bargain!!(read more)
