So, is the OnePlus 13s worth 54,999? Absolutely - especially if you're after a compact phone that doesn't skimp on flagship features. With the latest Qualcomm chip, a sizable 5,850mAh battery, refined design, and practical AI tools via the new Plus Key, it delivers both power and portability. Sitting smartly between the OnePlus 13R and 13, the 13s offers top-tier performance in a more manageable size. It challenges the idea that compact phones mean compromise - and its mid-tier pricing only strengthens its appeal. Yes, it skips the ultra-wide lens, but what you get feels intentional. For anyone wanting flagship essentials without the bulk, the 13s is a compelling choice.

The iQOO 13 handles heavy gaming, but we did experience some hiccups. The design leans a bit too much toward the iPhone look, with subtle changes that could have been more refined. The display is excellent, boosted by the 144Hz refresh rate, while the camera is decent, though improvements are needed in telephoto, low-light, and portrait shots. Overall, this phone isn't a huge leap from the iQOO 12, but software updates could improve things. If you're after better camera performance and slightly more power, the Realme GT 7 Pro is worth considering.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra impresses with its robust hardware, featuring a sensible higher-megapixel camera and a smooth transition from 3x to 5x zoom. Despite a slightly less powerful custom chip, it adeptly handles all tasks. Noteworthy display improvements, including an anti-reflective coating, stand out, though the phone's weight remains a drawback despite a titanium build. Software enhancements and reliable battery life make it a solid choice, though charging speeds maintain a consistent performance. Despite ongoing jokes about its cost, the Galaxy S24 Ultra stands as the top Android phone.

The OnePlus 13 aims to reclaim the brand's crown with a flagship that checks all the boxes. While the design sees minor refinements, it looks more sophisticated, and the 6,000mAh battery sets a new benchmark. The Snapdragon 8 Elite delivers impressive performance, excelling in high-intensity gaming with better heat management than rivals like iQOO 13 and Realme GT 7 Pro. However, its camera setup isn't a significant upgrade and faces tough competition from the Vivo X200 and Find X8. Despite a higher price, the OnePlus 13 is a well-rounded flagship, ideal for those seeking performance and reliability.

The Vivo X200 Pro is a significant upgrade over its predecessor, particularly in telephoto photography and video capabilities. The 200MP sensor delivers impressive detail and low-light performance. The display is more responsive and easier to use, making the overall user experience smoother. The phone feels great in hand, and its performance is top-tier. The battery life is excellent for a compact phone. However, the ultrawide camera struggles in low-light video, and the processor can throttle under heavy loads, which may impact performance in demanding tasks, like gaming. Despite these minor drawbacks, the X200 Pro remains a compelling choice for those seeking a powerful and versatile smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is a solid phone, but it's not a revolution. It's an evolution, and a rather conservative one at that. If you loved the S23 and S24, you'll probably like this one too. The display along with the tiny form factor and the classy build can score high points amongst all personalities. One UI is brilliant, better than any other Android flagship, and to an extent even stock Android. Moreover, you get seven years of promised upgrades. So, yes, the cutie-patootie does deliver, but the Galaxy S24 is much better value for money with a recent price drop. It has Galaxy AI features too, and is essentially the same phone in terms of camera and battery performance.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 globally this month, and the colour choices are nothing short of stunning. The design also stands out from the usual iPhones we've seen over the past year or two, with a look reminiscent of the iPhone X launched five years ago. This time, Apple has added more rounded edges, making it noticeably more comfortable in hand compared to earlier models. On the performance side, both the Pro and standard variants now share similar chipsets, incorporating AI features that enhance productivity. Additionally, a new capture button simplifies the camera experience, making zooming in and out much easier. The cameras themselves have received upgrades, ensuring they outperform those of their predecessors. If you're seeking a flagship device with a stylish design, top-tier build quality, and refined software, the iPhone 16 is the perfect choice.

Sure, the iPhone 15 may seem like it costs a pretty penny, but it brings a lot of important Apple tech such as USB Type-C, 48MP camera, Dynamic Island and the A16 Bionic chip. Despite the lack of a telephoto camera on the iPhone 15, its computational photography prowess helps it be one of the best camera phones for the price point. At 20W, the charging speeds are still archaic, but its battery life is surprisingly good for a phone its size. The integration of iOS 16 ensures a smooth and secure user experience. The Dynamic Island is a useful addition compared to the plain old notch on the display. However, the absence of a high-refresh-rate display might be a drawback for users accustomed to smoother animations. The iPhone 15's price may be justified for Apple enthusiasts seeking to upgrade from older phones.

At Rs 64,999, the Xiaomi 15 delivers a premium experience in a sleek, compact body. It's stylish, comfortable to hold, and surprisingly easy to use without a case. Performance in everyday use is smooth, with no hiccups during streaming, scrolling, or multitasking. It does heat up during intense gaming, so power users may want to consider other options like the iQOO 13 or OnePlus 13. The cameras shine in both daylight and low light, especially when using the telephoto lens. Battery life holds up well, lasting over a day with regular use. With a Rs 5,000 drop from its predecessor and no major compromises, the Xiaomi 15 strikes a great balance between form, function, and price

While we do not consider OnePlus devices a flagship killer anymore - considering they are priced in the premium territory, we fail to see that flagship devices themselves have breached the Rs 1 lakh mark. In that regard, the OnePlus 12 managed to strike a balance between top-of-the-line experience and (relatively) affordable pricing. Whether you are a performance fiend, a camera lover, a binge watcher, or want a phone that excels in all departments, the OnePlus 12 comes across as a great choice.

The Find X8 is compact, fits easily in all my bags, and offers solid performance. The edges can be uncomfortable without a case, but it's a minor issue. With the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, it has few rivals, though the iQOO 13 and Realme GT 7 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC are worth considering for top-tier performance. The Vivo X200, also with the Dimensity 9400, is another competitor with a similar design and great camera capabilities. At Rs 69,999, it's a bit steep, but if you're after excellent cameras, battery life, and performance in a compact package, the OPPO Find X8 is a solid choice.

The OPPO Find X8 Pro is a premium flagship phone with a stunning design, excellent cameras, and a long-lasting battery. However, its high price tag may deter some buyers. While it offers top-notch performance and a vibrant display, it's not without its flaws like bloatware and an underutilised Quick button. If camera quality is your top priority, the Find X8 Pro is a great choice. But for those seeking raw performance, consider alternatives like the Realme GT 7 Pro or iQOO 13.

Keeping aside the fancy camera jargon, there's very little the S23 Ultra does to go wild. Instead, it plays safe and to its strengths, with a reliable processor, a fantastic camera system and one of the best battery backups of a flagship smartphone. The Pixel 9 Pro is compact, cute, and features impressive cameras - especially the 5x optical zoom and selfie cam. It handles daily tasks effortlessly, with battery life lasting well into the next day. The clean software and game-changing AI features, like Pixel Screenshots and automatic photo edits, are highlights. While its performance lags behind the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and others, it outshines the pricier Pixel 9 Pro XL. It can heat up during gaming or camera use, but cools down fast. Overall, it's a reliable, user-friendly device with long software support - though you'll pay a premium for it.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus finally breaks free from its middle-child status, standing strong between the S25 and Ultra. It boasts a sleek design, chunkier camera rings, and an immersive display with ultra-thin bezels. Galaxy AI features make editing fun - erasing unwanted objects is effortless, though real life could use the same upgrade. Performance is solid, but thermal management needs work. The cameras remain unchanged but deliver better results, with minor inconsistencies that a software update can fix. For a premium experience without the Ultra price tag, this is a great pick. But if gaming is the priority, options like the Realme GT 7 Pro, iQOO 13, or OnePlus 13 might be better suited.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is its first in the S series to support stylus. It packs the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB RAM for optimum performance. The cameras deliver quality, and Android 12 out of the box is much needed. The iPhone 15 Pro, while lacking revolutionary changes, impresses with its USB-C port, titanium build, and A17 Pro chip, built on industry-first 3nm process. The display is stunning, featuring high brightness and a faster refresh rate for smooth use. Despite minor camera upgrades, the portrait mode and focal length additions are noteworthy, though post-processing consistency needs improvement. The phone falls short in maximising the true potential of USB Type-C (but it is finally here!), lacks faster charging, and offers an average battery life. That said, the iPhone 15 Pro is a perfect example of there is more to it that meets the eye. While the iPhone 15 Pro may feel pricey at Rs 1,34,990, it is a reliable and powerful compact option that takes forward the legacy of its predecessors in the right direction.

The iPhone 16 Plus bridges the gap between base and Pro models with two Pro-style physical buttons, but it still lacks a 120Hz display. The A18 Bionic chip enables AAA games with Ray tracing, and battery life remains excellent. Minor camera improvements add appeal, while the upcoming Apple Intelligence looks promising. If you want a large phone without Pro Max pricing, the 16 Plus is a solid choice. However, if you already have the iPhone 15, the upgrade isn't significant. The Xiaomi 14 is a compact phone with a very comfortable in-hand feel. Its glossy back panel is a fingerprint magnet, requiring constant cleaning. Despite this, the Xiaomi 14 is really attractive. The rich display quality and the 120Hz refresh rate enhance the viewing experience. The phone is powered by the latest chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The phone is very smooth for everyday use, and the animations are excellent, which is impressive. However, when playing demanding games, the phone starts heating up within 30 minutes, which is not ideal for avid gamers. One of the standout features of this phone is its cameras. It boasts a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera. The Xiaomi 14 can take incredible pictures in all environments, and the low-light picture quality is also great. The device has a 4610mAh battery, which is not particularly impressive, but it supports a 90W hypercharger, fully charging the phone in 35 minutes, which is quite convenient. Considering all these factors, the Xiaomi 14 is an excellent phone for everyday users, but avid gamers might need to look elsewhere.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is undeniably a stylish and compact device that packs a punch. Its performance is flagship-level, and the camera, while not perfect, captures decent shots. The AI features, though promising, require a bit of user familiarisation. It carries forward the same design from the Flip 5, but works on its durability by attaining an IP certification.

The Vivo X100 Pro is a blessing for people who take photography seriously, and value optical prowess over the whole 'we'll fix it in post' mindset. The 50-megapixel camera with ZEISS optics is one of the finest ones I have ever seen, not just for portraits, but in other, day-to-day uses as well. It's mighty powerful too with the new MediaTek 8300 SoC, charges quick with a 100W power bring and nails other aspects of being a proper flagship. We just wished Vivo polished the UI of the phone even further.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G gives you flagship performance with the best internals that money can buy right now. You also get S Pen for support that enhances the use case of the device and the cameras in tow will offer top quality photos in all conditions. That said, the phone's battery supports 25W charging only and the camera bump at the back can be annoying. All in all, a Note-worthy device from Samsung in the flagship arena.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro features a matte body finish that makes it easy to hold, and the device feels quite compact. It has a 6.7-inch OLED display that remains bright even under glaring sunlight. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth animations and an impressive user experience. Powered by the Tensor G3 SoC, the phone boasts significant AI capabilities and handles everyday tasks efficiently. However, its gaming performance may not meet expectations, as the phone tends to heat up during extended gameplay sessions. The Pixel 8 Pro has a 50MP primary camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. While the primary camera shows minimal improvements over the Pixel 7 Pro, the tones are cooler. The phone excels in low-light photography, which is a notable advantage. It has a 5050mAh battery and supports 30W charging, although the charger is not included in the box. Running on Android 14, the 8 Pro offers a pure Android experience. Therefore, if you are looking for a smartphone with excellent camera capabilities, a stock Android experience, and advanced AI features, the Pixel 8 Pro is a strong contender.

Apple iPhone 12 Pro 128GB is an excellent offering from the brand and packs impressive features. The 6.1-inches OLED display with 457ppi pixel density accounts for a stunning visual experience. The device ships with triple camera setup (12MP+12MP+12MP), runs on Apple A14 Bionic Hexacore processor, and packs 2815mAh battery with 20W fast charging and also wireless charging. That being said, the lack of fingerprint sensor and an expandable memory option are certainly its drawbacks.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a photographer's dream, featuring Clear Leica optics, advanced algorithms, and numerous photography-focused features. With versatile camera setups and a built-in director mode for multi-cam shoots, it's ideal for content creators and studios. This powerhouse also boasts top-notch specs and a durable build, including a charging adapter. However, its bulkiness and weight may require some adjustment, as it's not pocket-friendly.

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ offers a compelling flagship experience, making it an attractive choice for those seeking an "S" series device within the Samsung ecosystem. The entire S23 series stands out with its unique and appealing design, particularly among younger users. In addition, it delivers impressive performance, albeit with unremarkable camera upgrades. While battery life has improved, the slow charging speeds remain a drawback.

The Vivo X90 Pro is a true flagship with a fantastic rear camera setup, a rear panel texture that's downright addictive, and super-fast charging. FunTouch OS is cleaner than ever, making it a joy to use. While it's missing a telephoto camera, low-light glare can be an issue and battery life is alright. However, for the price, it's hard to beat the value the X90 Pro offers.

OnePlus Open competes well with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 in terms of performance, cameras, displays, and battery life. The displays are top-notch with no major differences between them, and the nearly creaseless design is commendable. The Open handles multitasking and heavy apps smoothly, even though the Z Fold 5 still leads in benchmark tests. The camera, especially the 3x lens, delivers impressive results, and the battery and charging performance surpasses the competition. However, OnePlus should consider adding stylus support, optimising apps for the foldable display, and making the price more reasonable. Overall, the Open marks a strong debut for OnePlus in the nascent category of foldables, and fits well into their lineup.
