The Samsung Galaxy M35 offers solid performance, reliable battery life, and good daylight photos. However, it's heavy enough to double as a weight. The low light photography is somewhere you will have to compromise. Additionally, for superior gaming, you might want to explore other options.

The Motorola G85 brings a sleek design, a curved pOLED display, outstanding battery life, and impressive speaker performance. For those who appreciate a stylish phone, Motorola has ensured that this device caters to their needs. With a curved screen offering vibrant, punchy colours, it's a standout option in the sub-Rs 20,000 range. On the camera front, it captures social media-ready photos, though they may appear artificial. While the phone can handle demanding tasks without issue, it does tend to heat up after extended use. If you're after a phone with a clean and straightforward software experience, this one checks all the right boxes.

The CMF Phone 1 feels unique yet familiar, akin to what the Nokia Lumia 525 was for college students. It's aimed at a similar market, offering a hipster vibe, smooth performance, and solid basics. Despite lacking an ultrawide camera, stereo speakers, and the Glyph interface, its modularity is a standout feature. A competition to encourage third-party accessory innovation could boost its appeal. Priced at Rs 15,999, it's positioned to undercut the POCO X6 Pro and OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite, differentiating it from Nothing's main series. If you value smooth software and a unique design, check it out.

The iQOO Z9s, priced at 19,999, offers a compelling package with a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen, capable cameras, smooth performance, excellent battery life, and fast charging. However, the rear panel attracts smudges, and the UI has bloatware and frequent notifications. If you're after a strong overall performance in this price range, it's a solid choice.

If you're in the market for a smartphone under Rs 10,000, the Motorola G45 is worth considering. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, it handles everyday tasks smoothly and is capable of decent multitasking. The design, like many Motorola models, stands out with its flat display and thicker bezels, though this might not be to everyone's taste. On the plus side, the vegan leather finish adds a touch of elegance, making it visually appealing. The display offers good colour reproduction but outdoor brightness levels could have been better. When it comes to battery life, the G45 underperforms and doesn't provide the reliability you'd expect. However, if your priority is a phone that delivers solid performance, handles daily tasks with ease, offers decent camera quality for its price, and you're willing to overlook some design shortcomings, the G45 could be the right pick for you.

If you want a phone under Rs 20,000, the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo 5G delivers a smooth 90fps experience for demanding games. The 6.67-inch display boasts 2000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility, indoors and outdoors. However, if you're after top-tier camera performance, this phone may fall short. The front camera performs adequately, but the rear camera doesn't quite impress. So, if you're looking for a lightweight phone that excels in gaming, charges rapidly, and offers solid battery life, the Realme Narzo 70 Turbo is worth considering. That said, if photography is your main priority, you might want to explore other alternatives.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is caught in the middle child syndrome within the Redmi Note 13 lineup, but it's got what it takes to shine. It sports a sleek design, an AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution, and a reliable battery backup. With its vibrant design and a camera setup boasting a hefty 200MP main lens and an 8MP ultra-wide snapper, along with a 16MP selfie shooter - the Note 13 Pro caters to photography buffs. Just watch out for noise in low light and occasional inconsistencies in skin tone during portrait mode. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, it cruises through daily tasks and gaming with ease. Plus, its 5100mAh battery keeps you going strong. And hey, it still rocks a headphone jack and IR transmitter, which is a nice bonus. However, its reliance on Android 13 may deter some users, especially given the year is 2024. Nonetheless, if you're seeking a phone that delivers in terms of cameras, performance, and display quality, the Note 13 Pro is the one for you.

The Vivo T3x features a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, so the panel is adequately bright, but outdoor visibility can be a bit challenging under direct sunlight. The colours on the display aren't particularly vibrant or punchy but lean more towards a neutral approach. For photography, the Vivo T3x is equipped with a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. The photos taken with this smartphone are good but sometimes images lack adequate details. The dynamic range is limited, which may be a drawback for some users. Regardless, for the price, the photos are impressive. Low-light performance is average. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera that captures natural-looking photos. The Vivo T3x is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, delivering solid performance. The device handles multitasking and heavy gaming without significant heat issues. It runs on FunTouchOS 14, based on Android 14, out of the box. While the phone comes with some bloatware, apps can be uninstalled if unnecessary. The Vivo T3x boasts a 6000mAh battery and includes a 44W fast charger in the box, providing impressive battery life. So, if you're looking for a smartphone under Rs 15,000 with a sleek design, excellent battery life, and reliable performance, the Vivo T3x is a great option to consider.

The OPPO K12x has a pill-shaped camera module on the back. The phone's rear has a slight shine, reminiscent of the OPPO Reno 12 Pro's design. Furthermore, its sleek build makes it very comfortable to use. While the display is generally smooth, the thick bezels are rather prominent. This might be a significant drawback for some users. The company has included a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom for those who still prefer wired earphones. The phone has a 32-megapixel rear camera paired with a 2-megapixel portrait sensor. On the front, there's an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. Daylight photography with this phone is good, although zooming in may cause a loss of detail. When it comes to low-light photography, the performance is merely average. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which can easily handle casual tasks and gaming. However, if you're into heavy gaming, you should explore other options. The OPPO K12x includes a 5100mAh battery and a 45W SUPERVOOC fast charger. The battery life can easily extend up to two days. In conclusion, if you prioritise a stylish design, reliable performance for everyday tasks, and long battery life, the OPPO K12x is a compelling choice.

The Moto G64 aims to offer an affordable device without cutting too many corners. And it succeeds in that aspect to a large extent. If you go for the higher-end variant, you get 256GB storage and 12GB RAM for under Rs 16,000, which is impressive. What stands out is the design, the general performance, the camera, and the large battery size. The user interface is also simple. But then Motorola is restricting Android updates to just one more version. Is this the best display one can get on a phone? No, nor is it a device centred around gaming. But then, given the price, it ticks some of the more important boxes quite nicely. If one goes by pricing, its biggest rival would be the Realme P1, which has more to offer on the gaming front. Get the Moto G64 if you want a phone that does the basics well and your budget is limited to Rs 14,000-Rs 16,000.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G adopts the same design language as the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, making it challenging to discern the phone's name from its back panel alone. Its rounded edges offer a comfortable grip, while the 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate provides a vibrant viewing experience. However, the chunky bezels may not appeal to everyone. Powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC, the device effortlessly handles casual games but tends to heat up with multiple apps running simultaneously. On the rear, you'll find a 50MP primary camera and 2MP depth and macro cameras, delivering rich and detailed images with accurate colours. With a 5000mAh battery and a 15W charger included, the A14 ensures long-lasting usage. Running One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box, the interface offers a clean user experience. If you're seeking a smartphone that excels in the performance department under the Rs 20,000 price range, the A14 is an ideal choice.

The Galaxy F55 sports a stylish design thanks to the vegan leather back, making it stand out in this price segment. It also comes with an IP67 rating to ensure better durability and make it water-resistant. The slim profile also means this is easy to hold with one hand. The phone also sports an excellent SAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for content consumption. It also works well in bright sunlight. But the audio quality does leave one wanting, especially when watching TV shows. The battery life and performance are also adequate for most users. However, the phone is not ideal for heavy-duty gaming and struggles with titles like Call of Duty: Mobile. While the rear camera delivers good results and the portraits are nice, the selfie camera needs some fixing regarding processing speeds. Samsung has also promised four years of Android updates, which is good.
