The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is the successor of the first generation Samsung Galaxy J5. The Samsung Galaxy J5 has a beautifully crafted metal frame with brushed metal finish on the back of the device. The device measures 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs only 159 grams. It is available in White, Black, Gold, and Rose Gold colour options. The phone is priced below Rs. 15,000 in India  

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display. The touchscreen comes with a 1280x720 pixel (HD) resolution that can be translated to 282 PPI pixel density. The display has exceptional viewing angles and the display delivers best black levels in the mobile phone market. the mobile is backed with a best display which is perfectly readable under direct sunlight too.   The Samsung Galaxy J5 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash for low-light photography, it has f/1.9 aperture for brighter images and 28mm wide angle lens for capturing more area. It supports recording full-HD videos up to 1080p as well. The image quality is good compared to other devices in its price range as Samsung has always done optimisation on the imaging side. A 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera sits on the front which is also equipped with LED flash and selfie enhancing features.  

The Galaxy smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI on top. One of the unique feature on this device which differentiates it from others is the S Bike mode through which you can ride tension free on road, as it will handle all the calls like an answering machine and if the call is marked important by the caller, only then the call will be displayed on the screen.  The Galaxy J5 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The Adreno 306 GPU tags along as well to take care of the graphics. This is coupled with 2GB RAM and the handset includes 16GB internal storage. You can extend the internal storage up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. The device delivers average performs for multitasking, it lags during application installs but other than that it performs well.  

The phone is backed by a 3,100 mAh replaceable Li-Ion battery which lasts you a whole day under moderate to heavy usage, giving you approximately 4-6 hours of screen-on time. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts a micro-SIM card with dual stand-by feature. Both the SIM card slots supports 4G connectivity.
