Sony SmartWatch

Sony SmartWatch is a wearable device which is compatible with most Android smartphones. It can act as the mini version of your smartphone which you can leave in our bag or pocket. You can read texts, tweets and emails apart from making and receiving calls on your SmartWatch. Sony smartwatch can also double up as an MP3 player and fitness tracker once you download some dedicated applications from Google play store.

According to Sony, the SmartWatch will ensure that you miss nothing. Your phone can be in your bag, pocket or anywhere within 10 metres. Like a mini version of your smartphone, SmartWatch reflects what is happening in your world and lets you know.

As for the look of the SmartWatch, it has a compact design and measures 36 mm x 36 mm and weighs around 15.6 grams without the silicon band. It comes in white and black colors. You can alternate between digital watch or analogue interface depending on your mood. Wrist straps are available in several colours. You can choose any 20 mm wrist band designed to go with wristwatch. The SmartWatch has a three-level micro display with easy navigation. Move between levels using tap or swipe actions. A long press opens the options menu. Your SmartWatch vibrates on your wrist when a call, message or other notification comes in.

It runs on 120MHz STM32F205RG CPU and has 128KB RAM and only 1 MB internal memory which can't be expanded. The device comes with a 110 mAh battery which can last the whole week with light usage and one day with heavy usage. It can connect with any Android device through Bluetooth v3.0 in up to 10 meters radius. But the call receiving feature is only available if the device is paired with a Sony smartphone. The SmartWatch comes with clip, watchband, watchband adapter and USB charger.
