TCL 305 flaunts a 6.52-inch HD+ display that provides 720x1600 pixels resolution, and gives you pixel density of 269 PPI. The display houses the front camera built within the notch at the top. The 20:9 aspect ratio of the screen provides a larger viewing area and a screen to body ratio of 82 percent. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right side of the phone. For security purpose, this phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor support for face unlock that works through the selfie camera.

TCL 305 comes powered by quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM. It offers 32GB internal storage that is expandable using the dedicated card slot. The phone runs on Android 11 Go operating system. TCL has offered this device with a triple rear camera that comprises of 13MP primary sensor, 2MP sensor and 2MP depth sensor. While on the front, the phone has a 5MP camera for selfies, shoot videos and take video calls.
