Gigabyte has launched two Made-in-India gaming monitors, the GS22F12I with a 120Hz display at Rs 5,750 and the GS27F16I with up to a 180Hz refresh rate at Rs 10,449.

Gigabyte has expanded its Made-in-India gaming monitor portfolio with the launch of the GS22F12I and GS27F16I gaming monitors in India. The new models target different segments, with the GS22F12I positioned as an affordable upgrade from conventional 60Hz displays, while the GS27F16I offers a larger screen and a higher refresh rate for gamers looking for smoother gameplay.

The launch follows the G25F2A, which Gigabyte describes as its first gaming monitor manufactured in India. According to the company, expanding local manufacturing is aimed at improving product availability, supply-chain responsiveness and its ability to respond to demand in the Indian market.

Gigabyte GS22F12I Specifications

The Gigabyte GS22F12I is aimed at users upgrading from standard 60Hz monitors. It features a Full HD VA panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a claimed 1ms MPRT response time and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support.

The monitor also features a wide colour gamut and is positioned for gaming as well as streaming and everyday entertainment.

Gigabyte GS27F16I Specifications

For users looking for a larger and faster display, the Gigabyte GS27F16I comes with a 26.5-inch VA panel and Full HD resolution. It has a 165Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked to 180Hz, along with a 1ms MPRT response time.

The monitor also supports HDR10, VRR and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. Gigabyte has added gaming-focused features including Black Equalizer for improving visibility in darker scenes, Aim Stabilizer Sync for clearer motion and Smart OD for response-time optimisation.

Gigabyte GS22F12I, GS27F16I: Price and availability in India

Model Display Refresh Rate Response Time Price
Gigabyte GS22F12I Full HD VA 120Hz 1ms MPRT Rs 5,750
Gigabyte GS27F16I 26.5-inch Full HD VA 165Hz, up to 180Hz 1ms MPRT Rs 10,449

Both monitors will be sold in India through authorised Gigabyte retail and channel partners, with availability varying by channel. The press release also lists GamesnComps as a buy-link partner for both models. The GS22F12I and GS27F16I are clearly aimed at the value gaming segment, where higher refresh rates are becoming increasingly common. At Rs 5,750, the GS22F12I stands out mainly as a low-cost entry point for users moving beyond 60Hz, while the GS27F16I looks more interesting for gamers who want a larger 165Hz display with the option to push it to 180Hz without crossing the Rs 11,000 mark. The bigger question will be how these monitors perform against similarly priced alternatives once they are available widely across Indian retailers.
