Apple’s India retail expansion continues with Borivali store launch

Apple has officially opened Apple Borivali, its sixth retail store in India and second in Mumbai, reinforcing the tech giant's expanding physical footprint in one of the world's fastest-growing smartphone markets. The new store opened on Thursday, February 26, 2026, inside Sky City Mall in Borivali East.

The launch marks a rapid retail expansion for Apple in India since 2023, following earlier outlets in Mumbai BKC, Delhi Saket, Bengaluru Hebbal, Pune Koregaon Park, and Noida.

A Full Apple Experience in Borivali

Located near the Western Express Highway and Devipada Metro Station, Apple Borivali brings the full suite of Apple products and services to customers in Mumbai's northern suburbs. The store stocks iPhone 17 series, iPhone Air, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and the latest iPad and Mac models powered by Apple's M5 chip.

A team of over 70 specialists is on hand to offer guidance, personalised setup, device support, trade-in options, financing, and services like Apple Pickup. The store also hosts Today at Apple sessions for creative and educational workshops.

As with other Apple retail locations, Apple Borivali operates on 100 % renewable energy and is carbon neutral, aligning with the company's sustainability commitments.

Strategic Retail Push in India

Apple's continued expansion into densely populated urban and suburban hubs signals a broader strategy to bring its ecosystem closer to Indian customers. By opening stores beyond flagship central business districts, Apple is targeting convenience, deeper engagement, and direct retail experiences — from product discovery to after-sales support.

Apple Borivali adds meaningful density to the company's retail network in India. For customers, this means easier access to demos, expert help, and service offerings that third-party resellers don't always provide. As premium device competition intensifies locally — with brands such as Samsung, Google, and OnePlus also pushing deeper into retail — Apple's direct store presence has upside in both brand visibility and long-term consumer loyalty.
