Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold Unveiled With Thinner Design, Tensor G6, 48MP Camera

Google has introduced the Pixel 11 Pro Fold alongside the Pixel 11 series, bringing a slimmer design, improved durability, faster charging, upgraded cameras, and new AI-powered experiences. The foldable is powered by the new Tensor G6 chipset and features a redesigned camera module with HiLight LED notifications.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold Specifications And Features

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is nearly 10 percent lighter and around 1mm thinner than its predecessor, making it easier to carry and use one-handed. Google has also reduced the display bezels and introduced a new Olive colour option. A key hardware addition is HiLight, an LED notification system integrated around the rear camera flash that provides colour-coded alerts for favourite contacts and visual feedback during hands-free Gemini interactions. Google says the feature will gain additional notification capabilities through future updates.

Durability has also received a significant upgrade. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a new glass fibre composite rear panel designed to better withstand impacts, a redesigned gearless hinge that improves inner display protection, and a ceramic outer display cover. According to Google, the device is three times more durable than the previous-generation Pixel Fold. The updated hinge also reduces the visibility of the display crease, while both the inner and outer Super Actua displays now reach up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness, making them 20 percent brighter than before.

Under the hood, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is powered by Google's Tensor G6 processor paired with 16GB of RAM. The device is built around Gemini Intelligence and includes multitasking features tailored for foldables, such as Bubbles, Drag and Drop, Split Screen, and Instant View. It also supports proactive AI assistance and improved Circle to Search integration directly within the Pixel Camera app, helping users search objects and information without switching between apps.

For photography, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets a new 48MP primary camera along with a telephoto sensor capable of up to 30x Super Zoom. Google has also brought new Pixel-exclusive camera features such as Magic Capture, which intelligently selects and enhances the best moments from a scene, and Camera Looks, allowing users to personalise the visual style of their photos with custom processing profiles.

Battery and charging have also been improved. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold supports 30W wired charging, reaching up to 50 percent battery in around 30 minutes. Wireless charging has been upgraded with built-in Qi2.2 support, offering charging speeds up to 20 percent faster than the previous-generation model. Google claims the foldable delivers over 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold Price in India, Availability

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is priced at Rs 1,86,999 and is available for pre-order starting today. The smartphone will go on sale in India from August 20 through the Google Store and authorised retail partners.

Rather than chasing the thinnest foldable on the market, Google appears to have focused on solving practical pain points with the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. A lighter chassis, stronger hinge, brighter displays, faster charging, and exclusive multitasking features make the device more compelling as an everyday productivity tool. Combined with Gemini-powered AI experiences and meaningful durability improvements, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold looks like Google's strongest attempt yet at making foldables practical for mainstream flagship buyers.
