Lava International Limited has confirmed the launch of the Lava Shark 2 5G, which is scheduled to debut at the end of May 2026. The upcoming smartphone is aimed at the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment and focuses on battery life, display smoothness, and durability for everyday users.
The company has confirmed that the Shark 2 5G will feature a large 6.75-inch (17.13cm) 120Hz display, a big battery, IP64-rated dust and water resistance, and a chipset capable of scoring over 500,000 on AnTuTu v11. Lava says complete specifications, pricing, and design details will be revealed at launch.

According to Lava, the Shark 2 5G has been designed around practical day-to-day usability, with the company highlighting streaming, social media, gaming, and work usage on a single charge. The device is claimed to deliver up to 815 minutes (13 hours 35 minutes) of YouTube playback and up to 743 minutes (12 hours 23 minutes) of screen-on time while running at a 120Hz refresh rate.
While Lava has not revealed the exact battery capacity yet, the company is positioning the phone around long-lasting endurance and all-day reliability. The smartphone will also feature IP64-rated dust and water resistance alongside a chipset with an AnTuTu v11 score of over 500,000, suggesting mid-range level performance targeted at budget 5G users.
