Lava has launched the Shark 2 Pro 5G in India as the latest addition to its Shark series. The smartphone brings a 120Hz display, a 6,000mAh battery, 5G connectivity and a 50MP AI camera, while running Android 16 with Lava's bloatware-free software experience.

The Shark 2 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Lava says the high refresh rate is designed to provide smoother scrolling, gaming and multimedia experiences. The smartphone is available in Akash Blue and Nanda Silver colour options.
The smartphone is powered by the octa-core Unisoc T8200 processor, built on a 6nm architecture. Lava claims an AnTuTu score of over 500,000. The chipset is paired with 6GB RAM, with support for up to 6GB additional virtual RAM, and 128GB internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card.
Battery life is another major focus of the Shark 2 Pro 5G. The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Lava says the large battery is designed to support extended everyday use across entertainment, productivity and connectivity.
For photography, the Shark 2 Pro 5G features a 50MP AI rear camera with modes including Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Film, Pro Mode and Motion Photo. The camera also supports Dual-View Video, allowing users to capture two perspectives simultaneously, along with 2K video recording at 30fps.
For selfies and video calls, the phone gets an 8MP front camera, with the listed resolution achieved through software interpolation. The smartphone runs Android 16 with a bloatware-free UI and comes with Lava's Vayu AI intelligent AI companion. Lava has promised one Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates. The Shark 2 Pro 5G also features dual 5G SIM connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4 and a hybrid SIM slot that can accommodate either two Nano SIMs or one Nano SIM and a microSD card. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock provide additional security options.
The phone carries an IP64 rating for splash and dust resistance. Lava has also included its Free Service@Home programme, offering after-sales support across India.
