Lava has announced the sale of its latest 5G smartphone, the Virat V1 Pro 5G, in India. The company is positioning the device as an affordable offering focused on delivering a premium experience, reliable performance and everyday durability, with the phone now available to buyers through Flipkart.

The smartphone features a 6.75-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 550 nits of HBM brightness. The high refresh rate is designed to offer smoother scrolling and animations during everyday use. The Virat V1 Pro 5G comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, with support for up to 6GB of virtual RAM. It is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor, which is built on a 6nm architecture and claims an AnTuTu score of over 500,000.
The device comes in two colour options, Sikkim Midnight and Spiti Frost, with Lava positioning the design around a premium look and everyday usability. The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G packs a 6000mAh battery and comes with an 18W charger in the box. Charging is handled through a USB Type-C port. The smartphone also supports expandable storage of up to 1TB via microSD, although the hybrid SIM slot means users can choose between using two Nano SIM cards or one SIM card with a microSD card. For photography, the Virat V1 Pro 5G features a 50MP AI rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Lava notes that the 50MP rear camera uses software interpolation.
The phone runs Android 16 with a bloatware-free user interface. Lava is promising one Android OS upgrade and two years of security updates. For security, the device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also gets an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.

The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G is available in a single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. Its regular sale price is Rs 15,999, while the special launch offer brings the effective price down to Rs 13,999. The Rs 2,000 benefit is available as a flat discount on credit card and credit card EMI transactions across all banks.
The smartphone is available on Flipkart starting August 31 at 12 PM.
