MediaTek has announced its Computex 2026 showcase under the theme "AI Without Limits," highlighting a wide range of edge-to-cloud technologies built for the Agentic AI era. The company will showcase next-generation Wi-Fi 8 connectivity, 6G concepts, automotive AI platforms, smart home chips, and AI data centre technologies at its booth in Taipei.
Filogic 8800 Brings Wi-Fi 8 and AI-Powered Connectivity
One of the biggest highlights will be the MediaTek Filogic 8800, which the company claims is the world's first cross-generation interoperable Wi-Fi 8 chipset. It uses Dynamic Sub-Channel Operation (DSO) technology to improve connection stability, increase throughput by up to 200%, and reduce file download times by up to 50%.
MediaTek will also introduce Filogic AI, an AI-powered smart Wi-Fi platform featuring AI Network Doctor, AI Power Saving, Performance Optimization, and Smart Traffic Scheduling. According to the company, AI Network Doctor can reduce network repair times from hours to under a minute.
MediaTek Will Demonstrate 6G and Automotive AI Platforms
MediaTek will also showcase two early 6G concepts, including what it claims is the world's first demonstration of 6G radio interoperability and a collaborative MIMO technology designed to improve throughput for ultra-low latency AI applications.
In automotive AI, the company will introduce the Dimensity AX C-X1 smart cockpit platform with NVIDIA AI and gaming technologies. MediaTek says it is the world's first automotive chipset capable of supporting AAA gaming inside vehicles. Alongside it, the Dimensity AX MT2739 telematics platform supports 3GPP Release 18 5G satellite video calling.
Pentonic 800 and Data Centre Technologies Also To Reveal
MediaTek will also announce the Pentonic 800, which it claims is the world's first AI TV SoC supporting Dolby Vision 2. TVs powered by the chip are expected to arrive later this year.
On the infrastructure side, MediaTek will showcase data centre technologies including Co-Packaged Optics with speeds up to 400Gbps per fibre and MicroLED-based optical interconnect technology designed to reduce power consumption by up to 50%.
The showcase will reflect MediaTek's growing ambitions beyond smartphones as the company expands into AI infrastructure, automotive platforms, connectivity, and edge computing technologies.
